QVC, You Continue To Disappoint

So, QVC, you continue to disappoint me.  I received an e-mail that the Valerie Balsam wreath, which I have had on auto-delivery since 2008, may not get shipped this year.  I give this wreath to the veterinary clinic who takes such good care of my dogs and cats year after year, and they tell me that they look foward to it each year.  Now, not only will I be disappointed, but these good people are going to be disappointed.

If you can't deliver an item, don't sell it.    You push these wreaths starting in July and then can't deliver.  Valerie, these are sold in your name, please take note.  If the family who makes the wreaths had an emergency or some other reason resulting in the inability to make the wreaths, I can accept that.

Now, you may surprise me and actually end up being able to deliver the wreath, but how long will I have to wait to find out if it actually going to happen?  When it is too late to get it from someone else like LL Bean?

Right now, I am seriously considering canceling the order and getting it elsewhere rather than take the chance of ending up with nothing for my vet clinic.

I would definitely cancel and order from someone else. Very frustrating!

If Q sent you that note, it may be best that you buy the wreath elsewhere before everything is sold out. Things go quickly after Thanksgiving Day. Sometimes vendors can no longer deliver at at 2008 prices. Q has only had auto deliveries limited to one or two years in recent years.

At least they gave you enough warning to order elsewhere -- that way you won't have to disappoint the receivers.

@katiescarlett

We are very sorry for any inconvenience on the wreath you have been receiving for years.  I will forward your concern to the proper department to inform the vendor.  However, we do have the Fresh Balsam Jingle Bell Wreath by Valerie. The shipping dates are 11/28, 12/5, & 12/12.  I hope one of these can be helpful.

Thank you,

I buy wreaths fresh from local makers. Why mail order one?

Re: QVC, You Continue To Disappoint

I empathize with you as I am also disappointed.  I just looked at tracking of an order I placed and it was delivered to Candia, New Hampshire instead of Florida to me.

I just tried to email Customer Service and they are not accepting emails at this time was the message I got.

There appear to be big problems going on at QVC as I have been seeing many similar complaints to yours and mine on this forum.

Re: QVC, You Continue To Disappoint

The VPH wreaths have been around for years, and I have ordered them a number of times and have not been disappointed.  I don't know what happened this year, but it could have been something serious with the vendor.  Am glad that you received an advance notice so that you have time to choose another wreath for the veterinary clinic (which is a VERY nice thing to do).  Hopefully, you have a number of local merchants that offer wreaths (maybe adding some ornamentation  that you like) if you don't want the suggestion that QVC offered.  I'm sure the clinic that you have this tradition with will still be thrilled that you remembered them .  Things happen.  I can understand your disappointment, but you have time to choose another option!

Re: QVC, You Continue To Disappoint

I'm sorry this is happening.  It's such a nice thing you're doing for your vet.  I love my vet too.

Have you checked into buying it in your town?  It'd be particularly nice if it came from a local, small business, retailer.

Was the wreath in stock online?  If so, then Q has an obligation since you have it on auto pay.  If it's not in stock and/or if Q sent you an email about it, cancel your order and buy it locally.  I can't think of a reason that a retailer has to continue selling a product for 10 years, 20 years, or any length of time.

Personally I would be suprised that a retailer would contract to send an item over that long a period.

However you are right to be annoyed, and have enough warning to either order another from QVC or just go out and buy another
