I've had lots of things over the years that didn't come on the estimated day, should I have gotten a refund of some kind?

I wouldn't even call CS if I didn't get an item on the very day it was supposed to arrive.  

There have been shipping delays for months with many retailers.  They'd go broke if they had to give a credit for a delay of 1 day.

Wow! Great news! I can now get free shipping and a nice "inconvenience fee"  when my package doesn't arrive as promised!
