Those are the stock answers from the same few posters.
And stock complaints from the same posters. Same old postings, different days.
ITA, Those are what I call "snarky" and just an easy way to find easy words to just be what they are. Yes stock answers. bamasec

I agree with you. I used to take my girls to the homeless shelter when the company I worked for had a Christmas parties each year for the children at the shelter.
Talk about an eye opener for two young girls!! I am now the proud Mother of two very compassionate and giving adult daughters.

A comment on teacher gifts: I always taught in low-income schools. The best gift (to me) is a sincere note of appreciation. I would actually tell my students that (but I certainly didn't require them to do it!)

Sadly, a lot of people think it's snarky just to have a different opinion than them.

True "snark" (can't stand that word) is just another way of being rude. Having a differing opinion does not equal "snark", although I agree with CalmintheHeart that some people take it that way.
What I don't understand is what does the person that actively chooses to be intentionally "snarky" get out of it? Do they think it makes them sound clever? Maybe sophisticated?
The reality is it just makes them sound uncaring. Nothing witty about that.
We all have our days when we say or respond in a less-than-kind manner because we are human. How we learn from that and try to change future behavior is how we grow into better people.
Being proud of being rude is........sad.

@SunSprite I always thought intentional "snarkiness" was an attempt to show superiority...easy enough when invisible behind a computer screen. Takes more guts face to face.

If you can always dial it back, never be snarky or rude, count your blessings because you have a very different life than many people have.
