@Teddixat.  Is this the one you found to be "nasty"?  The reviewer is expressing a subjective opinion and it's a poor review, but I see nothing nasty about it.

I agree. I don't see anything nasty in this review but it sure doesn't tell you if they fit well, had enough layers, etc etc.

@CalminHeart - I agree that many companies use a third-party to operate the review system but, if you're the one "paying the piper", you do have a say in how those reviews will be audited.  Otherwise, the whole thing is useless and a waste of money.

My career was in I.T. and we handled contract work for other companies and also contracted out work to other I.T. departments.  Whoever was paying for the contract specified the terms.

QVC is ultimately responsible for the quality (or non-quality) of its review system.  They simply have not chosen to do anything about it, despite complaints over the years.

@Teddixat - You simply can't go by products' "Star Ratings" alone. Too many reviews have nothing to do with the item, but complaining about various other reasons, e.g., Shipping, Packaging, even the time of day the item was delivered!  🤦‍♀️(That one was just crazy.) The funny/odd thing is, the products were never mentioned as being either good or bad. I've read reviews where the item was given a One-Star rating because the purchasers had ordered the wrong color or size. How is that the item's fault?! You have to actually read all the reviews to find those that pertain only to the product.

It's pretty sad when some people don't understand what a "Product Review" means.

@Kachina624

The only "nasty" or "objectionable" ones I find are about shipping delays and not about the product at all and shouldnt be allowed to be posted in product reviews!!!

Also people complain that the item sold out and they didnt get to order it, or their size or color sold out and they didnt get to order....SMH

There has to be a way to verify that the reviewer actually bought the product. I see 1 star reviews all the time from people who clearly haven't bought the item. For example, I've seen reviews for 1 star because an item is not available in talls. This is ridiculous and brings down the averate rating. If i were a vendor i'd be really annoyed by this.

@CorrTor.  Reviews have recently started being verified.  You'll see the word "Verified" under t h e title of many, meaning the person actually purchased the item.

@Kachina624

The "verified" reviews are from the vendor's website and I dont think they should be allowed as a QVC review....JMHO

@Kachina624 , that review shouldn't have been allowed. It is supposed to be a product review and that person is complaining about someone making money from a mask. That has absolutely nothing to do with the product and should be removed.

If that person has a problem, don't buy the masks.  Call QVC and complain. Go to Erin Mosely's social media and complain.

Reviews can be harsh. When one is dissatisfied, is disappointed, and doesn't like something, your tendency is unhappy and not pleasant.

@Spurt.  I think you are mistaken.  I've got "verified" reviews all over and I've certainly NEVER written one on a vendor website.

@Spurt   Here is one of my verified reviews from a Louis del Olio purchase with obviously no vendor website involved.
