Why does Nancy Hornback say anyhoo so many times throughout all of her presentations.  She sounds so nerdy that I can't watch her for long.  Can someone at QVC please train her to be a professional on air.

Anyhoo is perhaps her way of trying to be folksy and cute. Who knows, and overall I think Nancy does host better than several of her colleagues (IMO).  I'm just glad she stopped the frequent habit of singing words instead of speaking them.  She may still slip into melody from time to time now, but in her early days they should have hired a band to accompany her.

I never noticed her saying "anyhoo".  I guess it's like Mary Beth constantly saying, "here's the thing" or Pat constantly saying, "I apologize".  We all have phrases with which we're comfortable.  If it bothers you, you're watching too much QVC.

Hi Trixx, Sorry but Nancy is too old to act cute; she is either 50 or 51.  IMO, she is not professional at all and makes many mistakes when presenting products.  She needs to be retrained to appear as a TV host.  I really can't watch her for too long.

Hi Kacchina, How can you not notice her saying anyhoo when she says it almost every few minutes LOL.  I mostly watch fashion and jewelry shows but I can't watch Nancy too much.

 I think Nancy does a great job presenting  everything   And is very knowledgeable when presenting gemstones .   I enjoy watching her !

@Scorpio2.  Nancy has long been one of my favorites but I guess I'm not that riveted on what she's saying.  I read and watch TV and maybe do something else.  I'm watching her now and haven't heard her say it.

We all have things we say that are specific to us.  I like that QVC allows the hosts to show their individuality and not just be cookie cutter boring like they used to be!

We all have our own standards for professionalism.  When I do watch QVC I expect the hosts to be knowledgeable about their presentations and let the vendors speak about the product without constant interruptions.  I have my favorites just like everyone else does and we all have our own opinions on who and what we enjoy watching.
