I was watching Melissa McGoff's new show Obsessed Beauty on Saturday morning at 1:00am.  She is a very good Host and knows her items she is selling. However...a Brand Embassador came on and Melissa went to say Hello and attemped to hug her and she backed away !  Needless to say shame on that embassador and cudos for Melissa...she handled it very professional.

I feel that the hugging thing is overused at QVC.  I personally don't like hugging people as that is just getting into their space without permission.  I hug my family members but would not think about hugging a stranger or even another employee.  Why can't QVC employees just aknowledge the person by saying hello?

Yes, I get the hugging ritual, but all of the other hug her.  I do notice that some of the hosts choose not to hug.

I don't care for the hugging on QVC.   I would guess in most cases it is a fake show of affection that in reality doesn't exist. They are there to sell a product and IMO the hugging is inappropriate.  I would back away, too.  At work, we did not hug colleagues and clients.

There’s been a lot of hosts and guests sick since the beginning of the year.

I’m sure that guest knows that. 🥴

From day one I noticed Melissa likes to hug everyone.

I ❤️ Her!! The Q is so lucky they have her on board!!

I saw that too. I’m just wondering if the brand ambassador said something beforehand about no hugging because I thought I heard Melissa say she forgot about not giving her a hug, just maybe a side hug. It was kind of awkward for a little bit, imo. Melissa did seem to handle it well. I think whoever is representing the products don’t want any type of hugging, they should say something ahead of time. I do agree they don’t always have to hug.

Does anyone know the brand ambassador and when this happened? I would love to see it on Melissa's Facebook page. If it just happened, than I can figure it out and not have to watch much previous video to find it. Thanks in advance to anyone who can HELP!

I do not see a problem with hosts and vendors not hugging .  It isn't necessary, just a welcome and hello is fine.  My opinion.

Who was the brand ambassador - or at least what company did she represent?
