I also am not "obsessed" with Lisa Robertson.  I do believe, however, that none of the hosts hold a candle to her.  She was smart, funny, and knew how to present the items without sounding like a carnival barker or a genuine air head with an annoying voice.   I miss her a lot.

I am not a fan of the other hosts.  I feel that Jayne, Leah, Sandra are watchable.  Most of the others not so much.  I

Lisa was a wonderful QVC host.  She also had 20+ years of experience.  We probably will not see her likes again.  Amy is fine.  She trained with Lisa R as did Shawn.  I am sure Amy and Shawn will get better.  Personally I wish QVC would hire Lisa R back as GILI Creative Director.  Lisa R knew how to create excitement with the products.  Jill Martin does a good job and is likeable, but she cannot sell out products like Lisa R did. Possibly Lisa R had a better feel for the QVC customer.

I don't think she had a better feel for the customer. I think Jill has a fairly flat affect that doesn't generate enthusiasm or interest, although I agree that she was somewhat more animated during her most recent appearances. She doesn't seem very friendly, and that doesn't help. Not saying she isn't, but that is how she appears during the shows.

I don't care for Jill. Period. Personally, I think she was a weak choice as a 'replacement of record'... I think one (among several) big glaring difference is that a 'drop in' vendor, unless she was truly exceptional, is not going to be able to create the buzz around a product line as a host, who is there day in and day out, is able to do. Even given that, not every host would be able to create the kind of buzz that Lisa was able to do with the Gili line. As far as some are concerned, the line might as well have left with her.

I agree. Jill seems like such a random and unrelated choice. I think they were hoping to get someone to help keep the line tied to an identity who could keep it personal to the shopper, in hopes that they could move the fading line's merchandise that was already in the works.

I agree with you about hearing soon.  I think she has been working on something for awhile.  She probably had a yer non-compete clause in her contract with QVC.  I did see that she indicated she would be out of town for most of November.  I assume this is why she is decorating her house so early.  I wish her well.

Lisa has been around the business a long long time. She's no dummy. I think she probably had an offer  and someplace interesting and challenging to go, before she left the Q. That's what a smart cookie would do, not leave a successful, lucrative job w/o having another better successful, lucrative job.

With a non compete, she's enjoying her time off before going back to something good. There's surely good reason she's kept her fans close to her, which seems she's going to want them for her next challenge.

I love new experiences for everybody & hope it's great for her.

Probably so. If I remember correctly, they'd pretty much just trademarked the name when Lisa flew the coop... and there were irons in the fire. Seems to me, though, their 'casting' of late has really been more lame than lame, from this choice all the way back to the hiring of most of the hosts hired over the past several years, with very, very few exceptions.

@culebra Jill Martin doesn't appeal to me at all.  As a matter of fact I find her so annoying that as soon as any GILI product comes on, I change the channel.

The trademark application for G.I.L.I. GOT IT LOVE IT was filed by QVC on April 23, 2013.  It was approved for registration on December 23, 2014.  It covers Jewelry. Handbags and Belts; Blouses; Denim jackets; Denims; Jackets; Pants; Scarves; Shirts; Skirts and dresses.

Two other trademark application for simply G.I.L.I. were filed much later, on October 9, 2014 (jewelry) and March 6, 2015 (handbags and footwear).

Filing an application means an applicant may use the (TM) designation.  BUT, only after a mark is officially registered may the owner use the (R) designation with the mark.

Looks to be a day late and a penny short, across the board...

I, too, miss Lisa Robertson.  She had a great sense of style, good tips, really understood fashion & how clothing should be made,  great sense of humor, excellent manners, great speaking voice, & fantastic product presenter.  The Q is not the same without her, especially the GILI line.  I never missed any of her shows.
