I agree. I have bought 2 Reed & Barton sets over the years. Both sets were service for 12, were less money and had very nice serving pieces. The TSV today looks nice, but very pricey when you add in the serving pieces and shipping.

The TSV looks lovely but got me to thinking about when I got my Reed & Barton set. Got many serving pieces that get daily use. Don't see much of this vendor anymore.
Reed and Barton was purchased by Lenox in 2015.

I think this is a great price for all you get if it is good heavy stainless from Lenox, and the larger sized flatware of today.
Good flatware is something you use a lot and want to look good. It makes a big difference in the look and feel of your table!

I got my daughter a set of Lenox from BBB 5 yerars ago as a shower gift, it has held up beautifully, gorgeous shine and heavyweight. But, I think you may be able to get a better deal at BBB with coupons and no shipping.

I bought a service for 12 by RSVP here on QVC probably 10 years or so ago. It came with the wonderful round soup spoons. It included a huge number of serving pieces, most of which never get used!
I love this set. With the soup spoons that I've been watching for ever since I got my last set and the long tea spoons which my set didn't have I love the configuration. The sporks are a fun addition too. I think it's a good value and ordered the Barnaby.
For the past few years I've been having to take my flatware over to my son and dil's house for holiday meals as they never had enough. They don't want a new set because they still have young children and there's always the possibility of pieces accidentally ending up in the trash. So, I will pack up my RSVP set and take it over to them when the new set arrives.

this is a fantastic set. love the multiple course , formal options per setting.
i just purchased a very nice set at costco for a rediculously low 'last one' price. but i would still rather have this set. had i known it was coming, i would have waited.
super happy for all who get it.

Well, I broke down and bought the Babson pattern. I also got the serving pieces. My current set is missing pieces and just yesterday my DH said that we need a new set. We looked at the 3 sets and decided on the Babson because of the brushed nickel look.
I also am going to need some new dishes but don't want to spend the money right now. I do like the look of the Lenox Perle in the white and the light blue.

That Perle set is beautiful. It caught my eye as I was looking at the recently aired.
I have the Butterfly Meadow dishes that I bought as a TSV last year.
