I reviewed the Breezies presentations as this was the last day to get what I consider a minute shipping discount.  In both presentations neither host was able to explain the color choices properly.  Actually one laughed it off as color doesn't matter since they won't be showing anyways.

I think hosts being totally unprepared - not even being able to properly describe color choice which really shouldn't be that complicated - is not only irresponsible and unprofessional, but most disrespectful to the customer.

Come on QVC,  if I went to any B&M store to purchase my underwear, the clerk in that department would certainly be capable of describing the color choices!  This type of slacking permeates a busines when it becomes acceptable.  Perhaps that's why there's soooo much trouble with processing outgoing orders as well as incoming returns.Woman Sad

If you could see them in person why would you need a clerk to describe them?

Did you try looking at them online?  The video?

@eddyandme I agree, I don't like it when a host isn't familiar with the colors of items. I read a thread a while back and someone had suggested putting a tag where the hosts could see it with the color written on the tag. I thought that was a great idea!

If you have to check online, why have hosts at all ?

@FranandZoe    Perhaps by "describe" she means the names of the colors.  To say something is called "summer dream" doesn't tell you a lot unless the host points to it.  You shouldn't have to go check on your computer.

@eddyandme

I agree.  In clothing, color is one of the most important considerations in buying.  The hosts used to be very good about going into great detail about color, shades, patterns, etc. when they were describing the items.  Now, you're lucky if they even mention color or show each one for half a second.  Half of them are too busy jabbering about other totally unrelated subjects.  Although there are still a few hosts (not all of them the older ones either) that still do a decent job of descriptions.

When purchasing through tv or online, colors can be deceiving.  When you look in person at a store, you can see for yourself if it's what you want.  In my opinion, this is another area that QVC has dropped the ball.  They still have an advantage over online retailers in that they do have an "in person" person to explain the aspects of products we as buyers don't have the advantage of seeing/feeling/knowing.  Even if the hosts idea of shade is different than mine, I have a better idea if I want the item if it's a "bluish red" or an "orangey red".

Part of the problem are many of the silly goofy names they come up with for various items.  How about "pink", "blue", etc. instead of the complicated names that hosts can't even tell which belongs to which item.  Makeup lines often do this too.

There is one host who rarely knows what the colors are called. She always refers to the vendor for most of the information, which is fine. So let the vendor be the host. Why have a host who seems to have little information.

My, my I have never heard of so many that are perfect and never make a mistake.

Perhaps the host was given the wrong color pallette, perhaps the item was tossed in at the last minute, and just maybe she drew a blank.

If people cant tell the colors on TV or online buying from a shopping channel may not be for them.

It must be very stressful being perfect on a daily basis.  I wouldnt know.

@Imaoldhippie  This is not about making a mistake, of course we all are guilty of that. This about a host not having any information to give to viewers. What is the point of having her there? In the real world people get fired for less.
