As everyone complains about the pricing at QVC have you noticed at the bottom of their website they list the following countries that they do business in:

       Germany

       Italy

      China

      Japan

      United Kingdom

      France

Even HSN is not global.  Perhaps these prices are to appeal to the global community?

Have you thought of that?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.

Do you want them to shut down QVC-Germany, or QVC-Japan?

Should they stop broadcasting in their United Kingdom studios? Lock the doors at QVC-Italy?

I'm not following at all.

I always wondered why the magazine prices were so much more expensive in Canada.

I certainly cannot figure out commerce and trade agreements, so I goes with the flow..............

Here we go Hedge:

German blouse.jpgGerman blouse

UK blouse.jpgUK blouse

Both are Susan Graver

French blouse.jpgNo Susan Graver here but a similar look.

I can't read German, or pounds in UK, or French but there are prices for these that are I suppose competitive with the USA.

It's a global market.

Prices are not set globally.  QVC bases its prices on the prices in the retail market here.  Instead of comparing itself to Walmart, Kmart, Kohl's, Target, Old Navy or even Macy's.  QVC compares itself to high end department stores like Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstroms, and Neimans.

So say a top may cost in those stores for 100.00 and the Q brings in something similar at 59.08 then the Q wants us to believe were saving money.  However, if the same say peasant blouse is found at Macy's 39.00. there's no value.
