@KarenQVC My goodness most people don't end up in the hospital. Good Grief!
@BalletBabe. Just found out a dear friend of 30+ years is in a covid ICU with blood clots in her lungs. She has pre-existing health problems. I'm worried sick about her. Her husband who is diabetic and has seizures is home alone. She thinks he has had covid too. Count your blessings!
@Kachina624, I'm sending my best wishes for your friend and her husband. My best friend has Covid also - She's doing well, but she lives with her Mom, who is an end-stage cancer patient and her elderly Dad. It's just awful for everyone impacted, and my heart goes out to you, your friend, and her family. I pray she is home with her husband soon.

I actually think Covid is a perfectly good excuse.
This time of year is always crazy busy, and there are always numerous posts complaining about long wait times to get items. I've never understood why people are surprised.
But especially this year, it makes perfect sense to me that pretty much everything will be backed up, that processing and delivery will take longer than usual, etc. Covid has impacted everything. I have no problem being understanding about that.
I also think Covid could very well be the cause for delays in shipping. Perhaps an employee got Covid, exposed other employees and now THEY can't come to work because they need to quarantine. I just read another post where the poster said he son worked at Walmart, got Covid, and now 34 employees must quarantine and can't come to work because they were exposed to him.
Millions of infected people would mean millions have been exposed and millions would need to quarantine. Less workers on the job means slower service.
I hope you have a nice Christmas even if your items don't arrive on time.

If the items op ordered and is waiting for are categorized as life sustaining then that might be cause to gripe... Carriers are giving priority to items that are necessary and with employees needing to quarantine and isolate they do not have enough workers to handle things. Hiring more employees results in no time to train properly resulting in slower deliveries and errors. It's not all about any of us wanting their non essential items ASAP. Being patient and understanding during these times is the adult thing to do. There are so many who are struggling to even purchase food and necessities and no longer have the luxury of ordering things they would like!!!

@DottieBlue I will have a wonderful Christmas as my son and Grandson will be here. That is what is most important! Don't be insulted but I had to laugh when I saw your name. I had a dog that I named Amy Rose. She was a beautiful Maltese. Love your name!

That IS funny that you had a dog by the name of AmyRose. Not insulted whatsoever.
May I ask you an off-thread question? How in the world do ballet dancers stand/walk on their toes? I've always wondered about that.

@DottieBlue The shoes are metal. It is painful!! I filled many shoes with blood over the years, but it is worth it. You need strong legs and ankles.

@DottieBlue I wanted a dog my whole life and my first hubby would never allow it. When I divorced that was the first thing I bought. I named her Amy because if I would have had a girl that is what I would have named her. I got two boys so that is why I named her that. Rose was my Mother's name. When my son came to visit he said "You named your dog Amy" I said "Yes" Don't knock it as it would have been your name if you were a girl. LOL
