I watched some of PMS last night and they actually did a whole presentation of the TSV without ever mentioning that that silly "wallet" and the other metallic parts of the bag were not leather.

I have pieces from HOBO International that have that same crinkley finish and those pieces ARE leather, so had I not been reading online, I would have thought that everything was leather.

I had no interest in the bag because 1, I don't do GILI, 2. I could never manage with a teeny bag like that, and 3. I don't do GILI.  But I thought the presentation was deceiving for those who were seriously considering going for the TSV.

I didn't see any full presentation of the TSV but I have to agree that it's deceiving.  A lie by omission is still a lie.

I saw very little of the presentation yesterday morning when Jill was talking about how they had been working on this bag for over a year because most of the bags they bring in are fine Italian leather but they are pricey and she wanted that same leather for a price affordable to more people.  She definitely made it sound like they got the price down on an ALL leather bag.

Again, no one should have to go on-line to read about the handbag to get buying information.  Information should be given on air and purposefully leaving out the fact that only the body of the bag is leather was highly deceiving.  I wonder how many people know the entire bag isn't leather?

I found it nothing special and disappointing. I think GILI could have brought us something more special for a TSV. You can find her body bag anywhere and less expensive.

Not so many years ago, a TSV would be something special in price and some ingenuity. I looked forward to them and bought many.

Don't give TSV's to vendors unless they can offer a spectacular price and a very interesting and unusual product.

Same old, same old, knocked off l0% is making a TSV nothing much.

The cheap leather and man-made materials TSV GILI bag is as bad as that cold-shoulder cabled sweater with the flare sleeves that Jill wears alot!   Slipping your credit cards/id in the front of the bag with just a snap closure, no RFID and/or safety features; right there to be seen by all and grabbed....Nope!

Tignanello does the same on trim and straps, man-made material while the body is leather on many of their bags.  My only 2 Tig's are all leather, including the straps, but most handbags are mixed materials.....When my bags sold out, they never returned.

I agree with everyone who thinks the bag looks cheap.  I did like the style and size and had it been all leather I would have been temped.
