What company on earth would think that the sender's information would not be important.... I'm floored.  I would have called as well, wanting to know who sent them to me. so I could thank them.

As far as QVC's food... I've dabbled in buying some since they started offering it.  The last Junior's cheezecake I bought was roughly 15 years ago and was delicious, but so is one from our local bakery at a 1/3 the price.  

I had complaints regarding bacon wrapped filets (tough and gristle...forget the company because I never bought them again)... Springfield Ham (don't ask)....  oh and one of my biggest disappointments was the side dishes (four of them and forget the maker but they were just on recently)... very disappointing.

So needless t say I don't buy the food ....

Your reaction re Cheryl's Cookies was exactly the same as mine when that's what I was told.  I explained that I wanted to thank whoever had sent them, and the CS rep told me they were probably sent anonymously. She was clearly too lazy to look up the info.  Instead of apologizing for the missing gift card, she made me feel as though I was the problem.  And then her supervisor did too.

The following year I received Cheryl's Cookies again, and a few of them were broken, others were stale.  So this is clearly a company I have no desire to do business with!  Terrible customer service, and the cookies were not good, either.
