So much of the food choices I loved are gone...Bobby chez, emeril meatloaf, squirrel brand Creme  brûlée dk  chocolate nuts,  kringles almond flavor pastry, my grandmas poppyseed cake, perfect gourmet braised beef...current choices with few exceptions are of little interest.  Just have to wonder why there are so many changes to what used to be offered...disappointed.

I live about a mile from one of Bobby Chez stores. yahoo.gif

There are 3 in my area. yahoo.gif

What I like about Bobby as a person is that many times you see him right along w/his employees "preping" the food.  The store is wide open like a loft so you get to see "everything."

@Gabidog  If you have a Trader Joe's in your area, they sell Almond Kringle around the holidays.  Right now they have the Pumpkin Kringle, but closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas they should have the almond back in stock.

You may find some of what you are missing online. For example, when QVC stopped selling the perfect gourmet's salmon florentine, I started buying it direct from that company.

And/or if you don't have a TJs close by you could order one from one of the company websites for less than QVC sold them for.

It depends on what sort of cookies you like. I ordered some last year and was underwhelmed. Not all that moist and didn't stay fresh all that long even when immediately frozen. Got stale-tasting well before they were half gone. i threw about 40% of them out. They tasted very blah, even for sugar cookies. Sweet blah is what they tasted like to me.

@Gabidog

I TOTALLY agree with you!  I ordered a lot of food from Q using AD quite often.

I did try the TJ Kringles when the Racine almond kringle disappeared from Q but was completely disappointed.  I know Racine's are much more expensive but for me, they were far superior.

And don't even get me started on Q dumping Bobby Chez!  His crab cakes are SO unique and delicious!

All the current crab cakes offered on Q are nothing more than filler with a bit of crab.  I can make that myself!  I don't want a fried Maryland style crab cakes.

His smashburgers are the only burgers we buy.

I sent an email to the company letting them know I was sorry that Q discontinued their relationship.  I received a personal email back from Bobby's wife!  I thought that was very nice.  Way to run a family business!

Current selections and vendors are not of interest to me.  Sad, but  Q will be losing a LOT of food business just from me!

Is it just me or have the food items on the Q seem way over priced?
Are they adding the costs for shipping within the price of the item?
Sorry but for me I'll shop local for my food items and save loads of $$$$.
Sorry for the rant, but I'm a little dissapointed.
