I used to love the Fashion Style thread on Saturday mornings.  But they are not about fashion anymore.  The posters are very kind and nice.  I pop in from time to time, but I feel I'm actually derailing it if I mention something about fashion.  I feel it's nicer to just not interrupt the thread, so I usually don't post there anymore.

Not bashing it at all. I guess I could easily start a different thread while we watch Leah's fashion show on Saturdays.  But then I feel obligated to keep it up every week.  So It's me not being proactive.

I do miss the poster lolakimono who was so vibrant on the Saturday Style thread with loads of fashion ideas.  There were others who were great at that also.  Some have sadly passed on.

I guess it's easier to rely on others and contribute, than keep up a regular presence and lead a specific topic.  At least it is for me.

Also, a lot of posters say they aren't on other social media. So I like posting here what I find interesting on Facebook or Instagram, just in case anyone else finds it interesting.  I just ignore the ones that respond, "Who cares?" or "I don't understand following a host on social media," and things like that.

Some posters are here just to pounce to be negative, and for no other reason.  Uusually I can just easily ignore them.

Re: FORUM RESPONSES

[ Edited ]

I still post, but skip a lot because of the same rude comments.  We are all different.  The beauty, home, holiday, kitchen and recipe forums have a great amount of pleasant, happy posters.  I notice some pounce on certain posters, not sure due to them not liking their comments or attn seeking or what.  We all never know what someone is going through.

I don't understand why some bash because we shop here.  I shop several places, but why come on here and bash someone that does shop here.  Ok, some haven't shopped here in 20 years.  That's fine, but don't bash the ones that still choose to shop here.

I always seem to learn something new.  A news event, a tip, a decorating idea.  I still enjoy several regular posters.  Remember, kindness is free.

I agree. I posted a cut and paste from WIKI about Sandra Lee's remarkable donations/philanthropy and it was deleted.
You can't even say nice things about people!!!!

Weirdly, it made me embarrassed and I went away....just came back today to see what was being posted and found this. So true @deeva

@Shanus  Very interesting topic.  And like others I too noticed  there has been a shift in the "mood" of responses.  Seems like there is a lot of tension, frustration, depression and even anger in more of the replies.  Sometimes ive seen "happy" people get picked on seemingly just for being happy.  And I have seen underlying jealousy in some replies.  It is sad.  😔 The forums  did used to be so much fun.
Since my eye surgery I've been struggling to read so for me I just find posting harder and I'm more inclined to skip posting.  Like many of the long time posters I loved coming here.  I saw so much support and love for those going through tough times.

Maybe for 2025 we can take the time to be a little nicer and less judgmental. Sure we all have an opinion but there's "expressing your opinion" and then there is bulldozing your opinion.
learned a lot from these forums.  I hope they continue and we can get back to having fun and helping others.  Wishing everyone a great day.

@eadu4   That would be a wonderful goal for the new year. Great idea!

@Caaareful Shopper   I also try to ignore negative comments especially when aimed at me. I wish folks would just start a positive thread, a post or reply and then leave it at that.

The world has become a negative place and full of anxiety in general. Feelings run high and sometimes dark. There are ways to express ourselves here and be kind, thoughtful, supportive and not back biting.

Im sorry that happened to you, very very frustrating, right?❤️  But don't feel embarrassed because if you look you see your post was removed

due to live links which aren't allowed anymore.  It happens with any live links.
For many months the Mods have been removing all links & asking posters please stop posting any & all links, here's just a few examples of their comments:

---- Beth-QVC wrote "A live link is one that you just click on and it takes you to an external site. We ask that posters do not post live links as this is a way of keeping virus and malware out of the community."

---- Susan-QVC wrote "Outside link. Against standards, will result in banning if this continues."

---- Paulette-QVC wrote  "This post has been removed by QVC because the live link. You can state where to find information without a link."

       hope that helps!🤷‍♀️😊

I am here several times a day.  I dont post or respond to posts nearly as much as I used to.  I have grown leery of both.  Evidently my wording at times is questionable to some and leads to confrontations.

I also dont read as many posts as I used to.  I stopped reading most of the host bashing and QVC bashing as they have grown tiresome and repetative.  If I read a post and it turns ugly I stop reading and dont reply.

I agree the posting as dwindled.  Personally I think it is due to posters being afraid of getting condesending and nasty replies.

I think its too bad that posters dont feel welcome to post their feelings, thoughts and opinions.

I have gotten a lot of useful and helpful information from these forums as there is a lot of knowledgable posters here.

I don't respond as often as in the past.

I don't read as many posts as I used to.

I'm tired of the know-it-alls who think their way is the only way.

I'm tired of people being nasty because they don't agree with a poster.

I'm tired of people being ridiculed for their opinion.

I'm tired of fat shaming. It doesn't seem to happen as often as it used to but it bugs the $%^&* out of me.

One thing that comes up a lot is the lack of knowledge about how big corporations really work. This is NOT a political issue. It's just a matter of knowing the truth.

Im posting a 2nd reply as I just finished reading all the replies.

The one thing that stood out for me the most from these replies to post more positive and give nicer replies.  Well that is a great idea BUT remember what happened with SandySparkles and her positive posts!?
