Im posting a 2nd reply as I just finished reading all the replies.

The one thing that stood out for me the most from these replies to post more positive and give nicer replies.  Well that is a great idea BUT remember what happened with SandySparkles and her positive posts!?

Some people like being nasty. Some people feel good only when bashing others. Sad.

I am here several times a day.  I dont post or respond to posts nearly as much as I used to.  I have grown leery of both.  Evidently my wording at times is questionable to some and leads to confrontations.

I also dont read as many posts as I used to.  I stopped reading most of the host bashing and QVC bashing as they have grown tiresome and repetative.  If I read a post and it turns ugly I stop reading and dont reply.

I agree the posting as dwindled.  Personally I think it is due to posters being afraid of getting condesending and nasty replies.

I think its too bad that posters dont feel welcome to post their feelings, thoughts and opinions.

I have gotten a lot of useful and helpful information from these forums as there is a lot of knowledgable posters here.

@Imaoldhippie  Yes, absolutely! If a poster expresses their displeasure with a host or show, I'll see "change the channel". Grrrrrrr. Like we don't know that already. I think that's one of the most annoying responses. There is no need for the snippy responses. I usually think to myself as I read them ("boy am I glad I'm not related to them").

@CalminHeart
About 25 years ago I was a poster here, I was young, a stay at home mother and still very naive. I posted personal things I was going through and the boards were my way of comfort and escape. There were many posters who were very kind, others not so much.
It got to the point where I was bullied off these boards. I stayed away for a years.
I rejoined, changed my name and decided that I wasn't going to be bullied again. If someone replied negatively to my post I called them out.
If I saw someone bully a poster a called them out.
Some of you who have bullied me have replied to this post. I won't point you out, you know who you are.
If you are a old time poster, my nic was
hsawaknow....maybe you remember me, maybe you don't.

I agree. I posted a cut and paste from WIKI about Sandra Lee's remarkable donations/philanthropy and it was deleted.
You can't even say nice things about people!!!!

Weirdly, it made me embarrassed and I went away....just came back today to see what was being posted and found this. So true @deeva

Im sorry that happened to you, very very frustrating, right?❤️  But don't feel embarrassed because if you look you see your post was removed

due to live links which aren't allowed anymore.  It happens with any live links.
For many months the Mods have been removing all links & asking posters please stop posting any & all links, here's just a few examples of their comments:

---- Beth-QVC wrote "A live link is one that you just click on and it takes you to an external site. We ask that posters do not post live links as this is a way of keeping virus and malware out of the community."

---- Susan-QVC wrote "Outside link. Against standards, will result in banning if this continues."

---- Paulette-QVC wrote  "This post has been removed by QVC because the live link. You can state where to find information without a link."

       hope that helps!🤷‍♀️😊

That's really kind of you. Yes, the weird part was that it was a cut and paste of a few words not a link and I never entered a link or URL.  So they should make clear that you cannot cut and paste from a site.  That was what I found odd. There was no live link.  It was about 10 words copied from a WIKI page. No links, no URL.  So I was shocked.

@Parischic My hat's off to you as I too was a SAHM for years and got criticized and insulted for it (not on internet but in real life) by working women often. It really hurt at the time. I am so glad I did though as your kids are young for only a short time. Am sorry too for neg. you experienced on the boards.

When I first started reading and participating on the forums, it was mostly the Fashion forum. There was much more to talk about then. You had interesting and unique designers and shows. There was Linea, Motto, GILI and more. There was so much more variety and interesting pieces to talk about. Now everything's just baggy polyester that looks the same. All the lines kind of copy each other now.
Also, Posters were friendlier, and there just seem to be more camaraderie. It was really fun participating back then. Now it just seems so boring. Not only the merchandise, but everyone just complains about the prices and the hosts. Then you have those who say they don't dress up, but live in jeans and T-shirts. Not sure why those women are even on the fashion forum.
So, I guess it's a combination of things, from my experience anyway

@10000thnickname,

That happened to me too. I have never posted a link, dead or alive lol! but I have cut and pasted.

I got the scary message that said "Outside link. Against standards. Will result in banning if this continues."Yikes!

I didn't even know what a live link was in a paste or how to know so I emailed the social team and asked. But it was confusing.

Then one poster explained that you can't always see live links.

So I just thought well I won't even copy and paste anything anymore.

I thought when we get that red message that says there is an html? or something and it was taken out, and we should review and click send if satisfied. I never have seen any difference so I clicked send. But that's when I got that message from Susan the moderator. I still don't know how to identify any links other than the kind that look like a link.

ITA.   After all, this is a shopping channel, and the forums aren't an unrestricted, no holds barred format.

They don't want religion, politics and live links, so be it.  Their board, their rules.

Perhaps more people read and heart, but leave fewer comments?  Not everyone contributes to make things more interesting here.  Instead, they sit on the sidelines.

Over the years, I've noticed that a lot of people really don't understand how to have a "spirited conversation" instead of an argument.

JMO, of course.
