Re: Ewww .... Vendor Has His Dog On Kitchen Counter

Oh please.  Kids put stuff on the counters way worse than a dog.  Why do you care?  It is not your counter.    I would take a dog over a germy little kid any day.

Gross.   You would NOT want my dog's butt on your counter, I guarantee it.

I would rather have a cat or dog than some germ filled kid all over my stuff. Funny story: I used to work with a woman who made cookies to sell at various places and she would post photos of the cookie process on her Facebook page. Then she had another page of her kid growing up starting when they were just born. She would show pictures of a naked baby being changed right on the same counter as the cookies. Now that grossed me out but from the on we called here cookies baby butt cookies.

I understand where you are coming from .....normally we work from home, but we do occasionally have pot luck lunches at the office building..... one person actually admitted she didnt wash her hands because "she was the only one at home at the time she's preparing food"....(I know it doesnt make sense, but that's what she said).. I vowed never to eat food at pot lucks from then on.....(we even had one Manager that preferred going out to restuarants for luncheons instead of pot lucks because she didnt know how clean people were in preparing food in their homes---- and at least restaurants must adhere to health code guidelines!)

I also have a funny story.  Many years ago I invited a friend over for dinner.  My cat was near the table, but I assured my friend that it NEVER ever jumped up on anything, especially the dining room table.  Well, don't you know I no sooner got the words out of my mouth and the darn cat leaped smack dab in the middle of everything.  I apologized profusely and told my friend I was just as shocked as she was.  The really strange thing is the cat never did it again in all the years I had her.

That sounds just like what one of my cats would do to make a liar out of me......

Re: Ewww .... Vendor Has His Dog On Kitchen Counter

oh please there are a lot more gross things that can happen on a counter !!  I never understood  why it's so awful fir a cat to be on the counter or table for that matter.   I know my parents had there hair on fire if our çat when I was growing up jumped on the table ,  cats love high places and to look out the window which is where the table was near.    I always felt sorry for her as my dad would hit her with the newspaper .   If our 2 cats jump on the counter or table we are fine with it,  it's there home too ,    we just wipe the area down  with a wipe or just plain soap and water,  no big deal.   they dont sleep with us they have the guest room bed which they love sleeping on with there blankets and a comforter ,  yes they are spoiled !    They are strictly indoor cats always have been and frankly we are not concerned about it .... We are still alive 🙀 Have had cats for most of my life.    I'm more concerned with people that visit with kids that touch everything with germy hands .  OH and my pet peeve ,  no pun intended , shoes in the house ,  now that's gross and not allowed in our home ever , talk about germs  !!!!!

Please, they're supposed to be your pets and you let them in your home, you talk about them sitting on a counter as if they were some kind of creatures that have a disease.
If my cats jump on the counter I pick them up and put them down, then I wipe down the area they jumped up on with soap and hot water.

l have 3 cats who sometimes sit on a corner of my kitchen table, to look out the slider door to watch the squirrels and birds, I love watching them get such pleasure doing this,

when they get down I just clean that area.
This is no big deal, and I would hate to be an animal in your house.

@mimibarb   Could not agree with you more 😺  All our family and friends say they want to come back as our cats bcause they have such a wonderful life 😹
