A quick wipe of the counter will solve the problem.

 I find any animals rump on my counter/cook or dining tables as disgusting . That's why I called it quits with cats  many many  yrs ago.

I know people love their pets, but ugh, they don't belong on the counter. My neighbor had posted a picture of her cat laying on her kitchen stove with its tail in one of her pots. My thought was "thank God that I had never ate anything from her".

@Glitter51

Now that is disgusting.

Pets can be trained not to come into your kitchen. I grew up with pets, and I had two cats and a dog that were not allowed in my kitchen. Primarily, because of a horrible accident that my grandmother had with one of her cats and told me about, it scared the ****** out of me so I was strict about my animals coming into the kitchen.

Good grief...the dog wasn't sitting on the counter, he simply lifted the dog up & used an edge of the counter to help hold the dog & it was only on there for a few seconds. Carolyn asked & he wanted to show her the dog.
