I'm assuming you have Prime.
I don't, because I don't need to get items in 2 days. Yet I do. And more often than not, in the 4 or so years I've been ordering from them.
I order a lot from Amazon, and I notice the estimated delivery dates, usually 8-10 days, and that's with "free shipping," which I generally choose if I can add "eligible" merchandise. But it never takes that long, with 2-day shipments being very common.
Just last Thursday, I placed a late afternoon (about 4 p.m.) order-- and I received it Saturday morning. When I got the "your order has shipped" notice an hour after I placed the order, I was happily surprised. Again. Don't get me wrong--I'm happy with the service, but I even think 5-8 days is good, and that's been my expectation (exceeded by Amazon).
All of that said, and given the above, I would be plenty ticked if, as a Prime subscriber, I paid for 2-day delivery, and didn't get it.
