Re: Deliveries taking longer

I agree. QVC has the SLOWEST s&h!! My order was placed 8/30, sat around for days processing. Now the expected delivery date is 9/12? Step up your game! Yes,it was free s&h, so I don't expect overnight but ~ 2 weeks. Bad, bad, bad service!!!

Re: Deliveries taking longer

@SunnysMom  I'm pretty sure packages take so long is due to them starting out w/UPS and then they end up at the USPS to be delivered by mail people. This process is ridiculaus and takes forever, as in 12-14 days for me with most things.  The hurricanes also play a part probably these days however ever since this surepost process began, deliveries have really slowed down.

As for cancelling orders - I've always said it should be a standard 24hrs before starting the mail out process. They've always been all over the board in anyone being able to cancel. Sometimes it's right away, a couple of hrs later, sometimes the next day. I don't think 24hrs is unreasonable.

Re: Deliveries taking longer

For $3 shipping and handling what do you expect?

I think you spend more with the slower shipping, you have a tendency to forget what's coming and nothing comes fast so you order again and sit and wait again.

Re: Deliveries taking longer

Just Blng: I get faster S&H with companies that offer it for free. Haven't you?

Other companies are setting the bar and above where QVC resides.

Re: Deliveries taking longer

Orders I placed on Sept. 3 haven't shipped yet.  (Today is Sept. 6)  From some other sites, I would have the items already.

Re: Deliveries taking longer

I agree that it is taking so much longer for deliveries. I will have a package sent by UPS and then for some reason it will be switched to SurePost unless I want to spend $3.50 more for UPS. You would think that with free delivery with Amazon Prime in 2 days QVC would try to compete. I can only imagine how long it is going to take as we get closer to the Holidays. I read somewhere that for the Holidays UPS is going to charge more for oversized packages.  I guess I'm going to  do some early shopping.

Re: Deliveries taking longer

I placed 2 orders on August 28, still waiting for delivery.

EDD was Sept 5, now it's Sept 8. I'm chalking it up to the hurricane. Because usually, my orders don't take this long.

AGREED!!!  Most things are taking longer to receive with this new "UPS Delivery by US Mail" or FedEx SmartPost method.  I presume the Q switched to this b/c it's cheaper for them, although I don't think it's appropriate for shipping to become a profit center for a retailer.

My local UPS is on the border between 2 counties.  Sometimes my packages go to the post office in the county next door before coming to my local post office.  Why?  The UPS truck goes down my street every weekday, so it's not like the driver would be going out of his way.

The FedEx Smart Post packages go to Martinsburg WV first.  I can't believe there's not a FedEx location in MD that would be closer???

Re: Deliveries taking longer

Ever since the change-over with this Fed Ex Post and UPS method of them havng the package and then forwarded to the U.S. Postal service is horrendous. I just went to track my candles that were supposed to be sent out on 9/15. They were actually sent out early on 9/13. They were delivered via UPS late yesterday afternoon to a mail facility that is literally a short drive to where I live. I figured they would be delivered today so I had a family member look out for the package since we are getting very warm humid weather this week. I didn't want the candles sitting in the heat and melting, but they never arrived. After checking the tracking, the package which came off a hot UPS truck and sitting in a mail facility was now transferred back down to the main city post office and sitting there. Seriously? About a month or two ago, I ordered chicken from the Q. The tracking was hysterical. It traveled through I don't even remember how many states before it arrived at my door. This was on a very hot and humid day and when I opened the package, the chicken was completely defrosted. It traveled through so many states and the dry ice (if there was any) was completely gone. It had to be thrown away and of course the customer service was great and refunded me.
