I had thought once before about buying one for DDIL but just could not bring myself to do it.  They seem to have so much trouble.  I know it can happen for any shopping establishment.  A few years back I received a Nothing Bundt cake gift card ($10.00) and have had many of them.  Something went wrong with the ones sold that entire day mine was bought so they gifted me with a 10" free cake of my choice.  Way more than $10.00.

i use to always get my mom gift cards.. but now im afraid to. i heard some people say when they went to use them, they weren't activated ( if thats the correct term) and they had to make alot of phone calls which didnt help. im afraid to get them anymore. and they arent sold by qvc as of a few yrs. ago.. so you call qvc and your directed to contact the other company.. not worth it!

That's a shame about the gift cards not working.  I had no idea. Curious if the problem lies with the physical gift card or a digital one or both.  What was your experience?

My daughter bought me a digital gift card for my birthday several months ago and it worked fine, but I used it pretty quickly.  Maybe the issue is when the gift card has been held on to for some time?

Also, has anyone tried to contact their credit card company and dispute a zero balance gift card?
