David did talk about his dog years ago. He did say that the dog had passed away. This has been probably 15 years ago. 

I do not remember his pet's name.

Raising my hand @ Montana. He talked about her for quite awhile and then I think he found it difficult to give her the attention she needed with his work schedule. I believe the neighbor’s who watched her for him took her permanently.

I think he should get another dog or a cat. Doesnt he get lonely living by himself ?

I recall that David gave Ruby away years ago as he didn't have time for her since he was travelling a lot and working a lot of hours.  (maybe during 50/50 tours?)
