Oh they are dreadful! Yesterday on Kim's show after a long time of a dead air a woman finally spoke up saying how much she loved Kim and then blurted out her husband died. Mary wanted to know the callers husband's name and than Kim went on about how much she loved her and her husband was there and then the caller just went on saying I love you Kim over and over and Kim did the same.
They need to get rid of the CALLERS!

That made me think of another time Rick was hosting and it was late evening.  Item was a computer and when Rick asked the guy on phone what he used the computer for he said porn!  I laughed so hard.  The calls are so cringe!

It seems like there are a LOT more of those call.....yesterday I had Q on a few times and every time I switched to the channel, someone was telling thier life story to the host..

KG had one woman who went on about where she lived....KG then had to tell HER where she lived and where her relatives live....Sheeesh.

Q in  my opinion has become unwatchable.

I log in, take five seconds to scan the homepage, and out.

Same ole same ole same ole same ole same ole.....

How many throws do people need????

And I see that red truck nonsense is back .....

@KKJ

That truck on all the throws and Temptations Crack-Ware and anything to do with Christmas....

It's from about 1950....you'd have to be about NINETY years old for it to have any significance today ( o well..that IS the QVC demographic)....no younger folks know what the significance of some old broken down truck carrying a Christmas tree means....they want an I-phone or a VR headset....

And the Fabulous 50?  More likely they know what a leased Lexus SUV carrying a color morphing fake tree from Target is...."what the heck is  a "red truck" ? they ask as they flip past QVC on the dial...

Also the corn-ball Snoopy items...same thing. I bet MOST younger people today have NO idea what Snoopy is or was....yet it's used all over the throws .... And the Fabulous 50 don't care either....now any 80 year olds out there? Maybe.....

Did they drag out the Temptation holiday themed stuff again with the same ole penguin, smowman, reindeer  ...with Tara using that gleeful wee wee voice  to describe them, and David going berserk over them like he'd never seen them 150,000 times before?!?!?!?!

THAT"S what I mean...>!!!

Valerie softly cooing.....:  "Ooooooooohhhh....there's that  creaky red truck with grampy dragging the hand -cut christmas tree home to decorate just so......"

Right after which they show 1000 dollar color morphing realistic  plastic 12 foot christmas trees with 50 function remotes.....buy one for each room!! they cry....and TWO for the front yard!!!! ....Only 600 dollars a month on Easy Pay if you use your Q card!!!!"

Sheeeesh!

Or that  heavy Smokers gravel  type voice. Cringe.

It seemed like they brought the call ins back after not having it for a long time .I went on air in the late 80s with Pat Dementri  and Lee Sands. I recall Pat asked what my weather was like? I did get to Spin the Wheel and got a $30.00 credit. We did not have on line ordering yet.

They supposedly can immediately cut a call. The one I heard was a male caller asked about length of Howard Stern's P***S. Dan Wheeler was calm and  a true professional and didn't flinch. It was cut but too late.

Today on the computer TSV show at 11 some woman called in with some long story about not knowing how transfer stuff from one laptop to another.....

My favorites are the ones that start "My Mother's cousin's boyfriends aunt's best friend bough six of these.....blah blah blah yak yak yak....I live in Tinyburg....do you know where that is?

And the host starts in Why YES I know where that is...I lived in Smallville, Downsburg, and Littlefield when I was young....then I went to college and now I live in blah blah blah...

They ARE taking more and more of them....must have to do SOMETHING to fill the time.

@Gorgf

Today if that caller called into the "Fabulous and 50" show, they'd go on at length ( no pun intended) with Mally squealing and Shawn loudly hypothesizing about the size, diameter and color....

Or another certain host would weave it into a longwinded story about her daughters and thier boyfriends and how she discussed it with THEM for advice on how to proceed.....

Because they've already covered. at length. peeing in one's pants ( ha ha ho ho!!!!), using your areoli to detemine your lipstick color (SO funny!!!) , and large dangling protruding hemorrhoids ( I'm STILL choking with laughter over that one!!!)

NOT.

I mute out the callers. I have occasionally heard a "good" testimonial, in which the caller talked about the product, and how it works for them. Some have even shared new ideas that they've come up with to use or gift the item. Most however, make me uncomfortable; they either spend their time gushing about the host\vendor, or they share a personal story that puts the host\vendor in an uncomfortable position. Once recent caller into Kim Gravel's show immediately starting to talk to Kim as if she was an old friend, and Kim just blinked for a moment. I imagine that Kim has met many people during personal appearances, but she's not going to recall a random person from a two-minute encounter. Kim handled it well, though; she said, "It's so nice to hear your voice."
