Is it me or are all the calls cringe worthy?  LOL  As soon as they go to the phone, I change the channel.  ha.

I agree--and I use mute--if I stay on that channel very long--have always thought the call- ins were unnecessary for many years---kind of an old fashion thing, they need to let it go!

It isn't just you, trust me! 😬It seemed for a while they were steering away from them but it was a fever dream on my part evidently. I do feel sorry for many of the callers who are clearly lonely, and when others talk about their health/deaths/etc. I am not heartless, but there is a place for those conversations and announcing on live tv your life's challenges is not it.

I agree then the hosts have to be sympathetic etc

ITA, I mute.  I can't believe they are still doing this.  It is so 1990's.

Yes. Cringeworthy. I usually mute them.

But it's just all part of the QVC "experience." Lol.

Some are ok, but some....just don't know when to stop rambling, or take the cue that the host is trying to wrap it up.

That said...some hosts are better at it than others...MaryBeth of course is good with people, can listen, really engage in an authentic way, and wrap it up politely.

And all that said...I know I'd suck at it...I'd likely ramble from nerves, not articulate my thoughts well. Haha. And thus...back in the day when I'd be phoning in orders and they asked if I'd "like to talk on air" I declined!

Yes, I feel for those people too. They clearly need to vent, share, or just talk to someone.

I pray that my cognitive abilities do not degrade to the point where I am unable to keep from discussing my personal issues with strangers, and that I always know when to shut up.  I wish that for my friends here, too.

I agree that the phone in customer calls can get trying

I believe QVC mostly limits these nowadays due to the fact that one really cannot know in advance what the caller will say!
