It seems that there are mild cases that in going to hospitals etc. would just tax the system when you could be at home recovering just like you do with other viruses that you contract.

A lot of what I hear is that most people will get this, it will run it's course, and they will survive without serious medical intervention.

Save the health care system, it's providers and supplies for those that get really sick with it.

Approximately Feb 22, after a short trip to Atlanta, where I was at that airport and also O Hare airport, I came down with a cold like virus.  At that point in time, there was really no testing quite yet and my symptoms were slight fever, cough, congestion, some gastro distress, etc. but no lung involvement.  I decided to stay home and quarantine myself and the disease passed after about a week.  Oddly, my husband did not get it.  It would be much better if they could develop at home test kits as my husband could have picked it up rather than the sick person going somewhere and infecting a bunch of other people.  It was frightening not to know what it was, but it has pretty much gone away now.

On the news last night I saw a brief snippet with the first person to get this virus in the U.S.  He said that other than a little bit of respiratory congestion he couldn't tell he had anything wrong with him.

I just read the report of the LA family who came back from northern Italy with the virus.  They were in a group and one person is in a coma and another is coughing up blood.  Sounds bad.

I wish we could stop travel at this point.  Especially the cruise lines.
