I could understand if an As Is item is already an item that is a final clearance. That would only make sense. But to arbitrarily make any As Is item nonreturnable seems such a bad business move.

All these little changes to policies concerning As Is, or concerning Price Adjustment just seem to me very penny-wise and pound-foolish. QVC may see a slight monetary benefit in the short term but at the cost of a bitter taste in their customer's mouth and a loss of future sales. People are actually being paid to make these decisions?

Its almost as if they don't actually want to succeed.

@Lisarr ..I did a mock order, mentioned earlier up in this thread...it was a $200.00 bracelet and it clearly stated not eligible for return or exchange - this is a NEW policy or an error.

There is NO way I am spending my hard earned money on something and then cannot return...We are waiting on the social team to reply...if they do at all!

Since January, I've made no less than 10 as is purchases. This new "as is" policy means basically I will be curtailing my "as is" purchases and thus my QVC purchases. I've had no more problems with these items than with my "new" items, but still I will not be willing to take a chance on being stuck with the ill fitting or otherwise unsatisfactory clothing from QVC.

Even if it's a dup. of something I've been satisfied with before, the as is factor can certainly contain an element of chance. No thanks, QVC!

@munchiesmom and others:  I did write to the Social Team about this issue.  The good news is that the return policy for as-is items in still in effect.  It took me a couple of emails to explain the problem (to be fair, I didn't understand it at first).  They have sent a request to the IT team to check on the as-is products. Let's hope this helps.

@Bookplate I did the same, and it took two conversations for the agent to understand what I was talking about because to them the policy had not chaged..like you she said they would contact the IT department.

I would wait until the As-Is is corrected before purchasing. You just never know if the right hand knows what the left hand is doing. JMHO

Clearance items are saying this too. Look up Joan Rivers top. A511613. Not eligible for returns or exchanges right under the price. It's only $1 less now than what I paid for it 1.5 YEARS ago! I think it's very unfair to customers to purchase a $36 item and not have the option to return. I certainly won't do it.
