@Carmie, sorry about all of the unexpected expenses.  When it rains it pours.

I recently retired and we're trying to take care of things the house needs now so we won't have to worry about them coming up in the future.  We never had a garage door opener for our back garage, but it's now just getting too difficult for us to open without one so we're having someone come tomorrow to have one installed  - $500.  We also had a back door that was letting rain water sometimes leak into our 4-season room.  We had hoped that it only needed a new threshold or new rubber on the bottom but that was not the case.  Had to get a new door installed - over $1,000.   Now my husband needs 3 dental crowns - cost is over $3,000.    Premium came for the car insurance, cars need new annual license plate stickers, etc.  It just seems like it never ends!

I can only hope that for both yourself and me all of these type of expenses will slow down!  Good luck to your little furry one with the upcoming dental procedure.  Hang in there!!

Yes, not QVC or HSN but found some great clothing buys at Kohls.

I had recently cleaned out my old stash of tshirts and couldn't resist $11.99 tops with 40% off coupon.  

I finally bought the jean jacket I've had my eye on for $13 after sales and discounts.

I'm set for the "winter" now -- its shorts, capris & tshirts most the year for me.  

No more home decor or home items I have enough of that stuff.

I have that wooden pumpkin at my front door area.  Good choice -- I bought it after the season (80% off) years ago.

I try to stay out of Hobby Lobby it's my "no willpower" store😉🤦‍♀️

I turned it on today but quickly changed the channel as I do not need anything kitchen related; my cabinets are full and I have bought every gadget imaginable in the past 10 years!  I tuned into QVC2 because I can watch fashion and not be too tempted.  They had things they called "on sale" and they were only about 5-8 dollars off.  That is not a sale. They keep saying to buy because of free shipping.  That is not making me hit submit.  

For the past many years I bought stuff like candles,, slippers,  shower gels kitchen gadgets, ornaments, lanterrns, candy, etc. to put away for gifts but decided not to do that this year and just buy 1 thing closer to the holidays when the item strikes me.  I know I will spend way less this way.  Besides, my adult kids are probably tired of all that stuff! haha.

I definitely am buying more but buying stuff i need..Bought 7 Liz Claiborn v neck t shirts in beautiful multiple colors all cotton for 9.79 each sure beats Qvc 50$ t shirts!Also got 3 v neck sweaters from Kohls that are nice for 19 each..Got 4 pair of woman with control jeans on sale with f/s and used a 20% off coupon on one...also got 2 pair of black pants on sale with 1 20% off as well and f/s....Very pleased with the deals i got.This haul has me set for a few yrs now at least.

@icezeus ---I totally agree--usually--but I got a $600 trade in on my 11 making the new 15 around $200 to buy and again I am a Xfinity customer too, so there were other incentives as well. And I bought the basic 15 which is fine for me, so I think a new 15 is around $800. I normally would not touch any phone for that amount-----but gotta say--it is a nice phone!! Was having issues with my 11 taking a long time going to websites and not notifing me of texts and emails and just annoying, buggy little things that I was always having to figure out how to cure and  the battery was not holding a charge for more than a few hours.
