Re: Anyone else buying less and less from QVC due to no refund on initial shipping charges?

My returns have been mostly with clothing, which is not what I buy the most of at QVC, so I'm not worried about the return policy.

Re: Anyone else buying less and less from QVC due to no refund on initial shipping charges?

Prior to the shipping policy change, I used to order 2-3 items each month when I wasn't positive whether or not I'd like, but thought to myself, "I'll give it a try and if I don't like it, I'll send it back."  Now that I'll be paying shipping both ways if I don't like it, I don't take any chances.  With the old policy, I usually decided to keep most of the items, but with the new policy, and the increasing inconsistencies with sizing, I'm not buying as much as I used to.  I'm definitely not ordering if I have the slightest doubt about the fit, color, etc., but in the past I would often try it out.

ME. I AM BURNT OUT ON THEIR SHIPPING COST. I COMPARED THE TWO.  HSN COSTS ARE  LOWER PLUS THE REFUNDS ARE FASTER.

I haven't purchased anything from the Q in years, it was like the quality of certain products had changed.

Re: Anyone else buying less and less from QVC due to no refund on initial shipping charges?

I agree with Lexie.  Being a fan of Denim & Company, it was getting to the point where I'd have to order 2 of many items I was ordering in hopes that 1 of them would fit.  Sure enough, items would arrive (same size, same color) and have vast differences in their measurements.  Now, I am enjoying shopping locally where I can try things on and not lose money due to shipping.  Also, while the Q's size consistency has gone downhill, prices have escalated to the point of being ridiculous.  Temp-tations is another lure for me, but I have learned to expect shoddy painting and in one case warping.  It's not easy lugging heavy bakeware to the post office when it is 'defective', even if I do get my initial shipping refunded.  Truthfully, shopping on Q just isn't as much fun anymore and I've been with them since the CVN days.

I do seem to return a lot of purchases to QVC for many reasons, and that's on me, I can't complain, however, I have noticed that prices have gone up quite a bit.  I do a lot of shopping on the Q, but I am starting to rethink many purchases now that things are so much more pricey!

Re: Anyone else buying less and less from QVC due to no refund on initial shipping charges?

I'm definitely buying less because Q has more than doubled the shipping rate to Alaska. A $19 Lock and Lock item was going to cost $12 to ship. I'm referring to regular shipping that takes 7-10 days, not expedited shipping.

I go to Amazon or many other sites that offer free or reasonable shipping, and free or reasonable charges for returns.

And the other vendors provide MUCH BETTER tracking of items. Q is behind the other vendors as far as shipping and tracking.

No, I can't attend this whine party....lol.  I am not and have never been a chronic returner.  I really think before I buy and I'm not an impulse buyer.  So, return charges aren't  a factor me at all.   I think if I found myself returning a lot. I'd be honest with myself and stop buying from shopping channels.

It isn't about impulsiveness for me but about what became QVC's wildly inconsistent sizing which forced me to return things that dud not fit, even when I was looking at size chart and ordering my usual brand and size. When ordering multiples of the same item, the fit sometimes varied a lot from one item to the supposedly identical one. I just don't order much because of that and also because the quality if fabrics and design has hpgone downhill.
