Re: Alberti - A Calming Affect

Alberti - one of my favorite hosts.  So glad to see him during the daytime hours and not in the middle of the night or on Q-2.

Re: Alberti - A Calming Affect

I didn’t see Alberti with Valerie, I’m sorry I missed it.

I did catch a bit of his holiday show on Q2 the other day and I really enjoyed it.  He managed to promote the products without overkill and still insert his own decorating ideas and suggestions.  It was almost like something you’d find on a Home and Garden program.

I agree that he would do great with a decorating show of his own.

Odd man out, here.  I don't enjoy Alberti.  He's hard for me to watch.

I love watching Alberti on beauty iq. He’s very respectful to the vendors and makeup artists who are do tutorials.

Re: Alberti - A Calming Affect

I've always loved how Alberti presents things too.

However yesterday and other days I've noticed that even the once calm, so pleasant to listen to hosts are being told to ramp it up, shout out easy pay options every minute, yell about the great price and how many left and limited in this color-getting louder and faster-so much pressure.

So yes I may turn to it, watch a few seconds and turn off.

I just don't get how whoever is encouraging this kind of selling has been able to stick around-I don't think its working for them considering how many times I've read the same thing I'm saying and thinking!

Its so strange not to be able to enjoy the hosts and vendors-yes even Valerie as we did before because each one has been told by someone to bring excitement or something which in their mind means as loud as possible and speed it up.

To me the only ones who haven't seemed to have "jumped the shark" are Jane, Pat, Carolyn (most of the time) and Leah and David Venable and Dan Hughes. They all to me have remained themselves or as they always have been.

I miss being able to watch that once enjoyable QVC!

Re: Alberti - A Calming Affect

You won't find a better host then Alberti imo. He is knowledgable about the product, lets the vendor give info and show the way it is supposed to/can be used, and most of all...he isn't LOUD and OBNOXIOUS like many hosts on QVC. It is a pleasure to watch him. I don't change the channel when Alberti is on. He should be on more often.

Re: Alberti - A Calming Affect

The closer we get to Christmas, the more frantic and hyper the hosts become. It's going to get even much worse than better still.
