Thanks for posting that.  I don't pay attention either.  I thought it was $6.95 also.  I will shop amazon more. Most of the time they offer free shipping on returns

I just received a ring from QVC. I checked my return label and now it does not state anywhere what the charge is if using the label. It only states "no postage necessary if mailed in US" They use to state the charge of $6.95.

No wonder hardly anyone sends out Christmas cards.  I use to send out many but now only send out 3 to my best friends out of town.  Cheaper to just call.

The problem is...............as you stated...................Q no longer prints the amount of return shipping charge on the label like they used to do. Thus, I was very surprised with $8.95 shipping charge. The bathrobe was not heavy.............it was a bunch of fluff.

@ALRATIBA - The main tiers of shipping costs continue to be $3.50, $5.50, and $7.50, with some very large, bulky, or heavy items being considerably more and not set up in flat tiers (and most if not all of those items are shipped directly from vendors, which is likely a consideration).

As someone who does a lot of shipping and shopping, I find QVC's rates to be quite reasonable—most retailers are not going to ship a set of ceramic bakeware or a ladder or a microwave for just $5.50 - $7.50. Obviously, QVC has negotiated discounts in place with the couriers, but the company bases a significant portion of its revenue on shipping fees, so I'm glad the rates aren't continuously increased as actual costs rise.

@loriqvc It's reasonable if one only orders 1 item.  If one buys 6 garments, that shipping is $21, and that order would be in excess of $100, which gets shoppers free shipping in every other website.  I think like $35, or $50 total is a common threshold for free shipping.

I was very surprised to see clothing items went up to $5.50.  I ordered 3 of the same item and I know they will be in the same bag and they were not heavy or large items and I was charged $16.50.  I was too late in cancelling the order.  It was in the processed of filling.  That will be the last time that happens.  I will make sure I only order on free shipping days or only one. The shipping cost me more than one of the items of $15.99.  When did they increase it from $3.50 to $5.50.  That is not right if they put in same bag either.

The problem with waiting for free shipping days @hardware mom is that it always seems like the sale on the item I want disappears on free shipping days.  I finally saw the price for some clothing I have been waiting to go on sale with $10+ discounts and pulled the trigger, because free shipping only gets me $3.50 off per item.  I bought 6 items for $176.95 and paid $21 on shipping on top.  Does not seem right to me.
