I guess I wasn't paying attention  When did s/h go up to $5.50?

I WAS going to buy something on Lunchtime Specials .. changed my mind.

I found something similar at Amazon ...

Re: $ 5.50 shipping?

[ Edited ]

@ALRATIBA - The main tiers of shipping costs continue to be $3.50, $5.50, and $7.50, with some very large, bulky, or heavy items being considerably more and not set up in flat tiers (and most if not all of those items are shipped directly from vendors, which is likely a consideration).

As someone who does a lot of shipping and shopping, I find QVC's rates to be quite reasonable—most retailers are not going to ship a set of ceramic bakeware or a ladder or a microwave for just $5.50 - $7.50. Obviously, QVC has negotiated discounts in place with the couriers, but the company bases a significant portion of its revenue on shipping fees, so I'm glad the rates aren't continuously increased as actual costs rise.

The cost to send a letter is now 75 cents. Think about it.

Yes, I was shocked when I went to mail my Christmas cards. And my Christmas cards required additional postage because of the decorations.

@emma bunting Actually, the current cost of a stamp is 73 cents.  However, the rates are going up again on January 19, at least that was what I was told at the post office recently.

That $10 gift certificate doesn't count for much when it doesn't even cover the shipping cost for two items.

I just read online now that they are taking that back and won't increase prices until at least July.  But either way, they are nickel and diming us with all these price increments.  Just have to buy a stash of the Forever stamps and hope I don't forget where I "stash" them.  Lol
