Is AOL closing email accounts? [ New ]

I have a verizon email address which was transferred to AOL years ago.

I have no issues, nor have I seen anywhere that they are closing accounts.

My AOL email is working perfectly fine at this moment!

I haven't heard that AOL is, but I know for sure that Google is.

They are sending e-mails advising people to use or lose their inactive Google e-mail accounts. I had to sign in to a Google account I very seldom use to keep it activated.

If they are sending that notice to the google email I set up for some unknown reason ages ago... and Never used it....don't remember the password....I'll never see it!!!

Google sent the notice to my recovery e-mail which I use every day.

One was for an e-mail account I use for tax purposes only and the other was one I set up for my sister. I used that account when I did her taxes.

I signed into mine to save it....tax time is coming, but my sister passed away about a month ago, so I won't be needing it this year.

I didn't know AOL was still around. I had them 25 years ago and switched to others since.
