@RescueLover - Actually, it depends on what you buy; my last two purchases (a pair of earrings and a bracelet) each cost only $3.50 for shipping. A lot of the brands and designers use a fancier box/packaging style, but others use really simple boxes, so that must make a difference.

I find the Q's shipping rates reasonable.  JJill's flat shipping rate is $9.95 and Talbot's is $8.95.  Where I buy my yarn on line is $9.95.  Yes, the shipping is waived if you spend $150 or so and sometimes they offer free shipping as does QVC.

I have no issue with the post office, although it is getting expensive.  However, my mail is delivered to my door whatever the weather every day.

Instead of increasing s&h qvc shoudl be eliminating.   Most other retailers do not charge and.or do not charge if you spend s mimimum.  Dont understand how QVC does not realize this is a big reason a lot of folks wont buy things from them.  I only buy from qvc now when the brand or "deal" is not offered elsewhere.  If it is you can usually find it cheaper at a different retailer or at least wont pay s&h with a diff retailer.

Clearly QVC IS getting the message @DebNYC31 

They have had more free shipping days this past season than ever before.

I'd love to see free ship on orders over $49 though.

It is a fallacy that QVC is 'always' higher priced.

I just purchased a Serta mattress than is $100 to $150 CHEAPER than anywhere else.  My Edge shopper shows me all the prices at other retailers.

And it is free ship AND it is free in house set up.

We all know to shop around but it is incorrect to say QVC is always more expensive.

I have found that NOT to be the case tons of times!

I just returned a bathrobe and used the Q return label. I knew I had to pay and was expecting the usual $6.50 return fee. I was surprised when I noted my return while checking orders and the return fee was $8.50!!! Sorry I used their return label.

Thanks for pointing that out! 

I rarely have returns, but my labels have always been only $6.95.  It may be possible for a much smaller item to go back on my own dime for less than that higher rate of $8.50 !!

I imagine a bathrobe was on the larger size though, but I will be sure to look at the label before I use it.

I was very surprised to see clothing items went up to $5.50.  I ordered 3 of the same item and I know they will be in the same bag and they were not heavy or large items and I was charged $16.50.  I was too late in cancelling the order.  It was in the processed of filling.  That will be the last time that happens.  I will make sure I only order on free shipping days or only one. The shipping cost me more than one of the items of $15.99.  When did they increase it from $3.50 to $5.50.  That is not right if they put in same bag either.
