Re: It's International Cat Day

Our cat Keiko is 11 years old.  She was a stray that found us by appearing on our front porch on a snowy night.  We tried to find if she belonged to anyone and was lost but after serveral weeks of searching she became ours.

Keiko has had a rough week.  Our oldest DD and her new dog, Tilly came to visit us at our beach house.   This was Keiko and Tilly's first meeting.   Keiko held her ground and was even stalking Tilly at first then as Tilly got used to Keiko, she began chasing her.  So Keiko spent most of the week hunkered down in the primary bedroom.

Naptime 2022.jpgEddy.jpgGeorge 26Jan.1.JPGkitty card.JPGI don't have a photo of all of them together but this is a sampling!

*The first one is naptime on any given afternoon, our handiman made the 'Cat Shelf' for me a couple of years ago.

*Next is our Ginger kitty is Eddy, our tripod.

*The black kitty is our elder fella, George. He's turning 23 this year, 7 years ago the county shelter reached out and asked us to take him in after his owner died and he was found in the apartment with the deceased. The family dropped him at the shelter.

*The last one is a group of them looking at a musical Christmas card.....

At one time in my life, I had four black cats. I love black cats. Now I have two black and white cats, Graycie and Mia. They both originally were feral.

Re: It's International Cat Day

In my adult life, I've been "mom" to 10 cats (including 3 ferals) thru out the years and they are all my favorites because they all have different personalities. Each is unique in their own way. I just can't pick just one, I love them all for different reasons.

The black kitties are always tough to get a good photograph so they are often the last to get adopted.
