Yay! I'm so happy to hear this news!  The vet school will have all the appropriate specialists in one spot so no more waiting for results.   I hope Frankie gets a concrete diagnosis, the cause of the  seizures are found and is pain free really soon.  I know going to a vet school is expensive but I have always found their expertise and care to be worth it.

@SugarPuff   I feel very fortunate to live so close to the Vet School.  I do want a definitive answer but want it to be something that's treatable.

I hope Frankie will adjust well to being blind.

I'm so glad Frankie has an appt on Monday! I told you my cat's story just to empathize with your stress and situation. You'll do great with Frankie even if they blindness is permanent. I'm sure you've been looking up tutorials already to help,

We're rooting for you both...Frankie couldn't be in better hands!

Sending Light to you and Frankie.  My heart hurts for both of you.  I wish I could come help you with the pottying.

While y’all wait out what will be a long weekend, a couple of thoughts,

 * Have you tried a ‘hot’ water bottle

*  I think rearranging so you can see one another when she’s in her crate would not only be a comfort for both of you, it would limit her getting up when she hears you move.

*No wandering Pottying is hard to understand for doggies, they see it as a time to explore, and we teach them that as soon as they ‘go’, the exploration time ends, and we will take them in.  So, what do they learn?  Hold that pee as long as you can to stay outside, don’t go, cross your legs!  So, that resistance has to be overcome by going in rewards, and when possible walkies After peeing.

I learned this when walking my dogs in bad weather, on and on we would walk, getting wetter, and colder.  Now I teach them, GO first, then you get a walk, or a going in treat.  I have the world’s fastest Pee ers!

Very Best Wishes to You, Frankie, and Henry. ♥️♥️♥️

Re: Frankie's Crate Rest Situation

Thank you @Drythe .  The situation has changed completely now.  I posted an update called "How Do You Help Your Dog When She Becomes Blind."  She had a bad seizure last night and went to the ER.  Basically, they think that when I heard her howling three weeks ago and thought she was in pain that she was having a seizure.  The Vets think that the seizure caused her to wobble and fall.  They couldn't get a pain response from her on her back or neck.  She has an appt. at the Vet School on Monday morning for an MRI.  When she had her seizure last night she became blind.  I'm hoping it's a temporary blindness, but her sight would have normally come back by now if it's temporary.

After the MRI, the neurologist will hopefully be able to give me a diagnosis.

Re: Frankie's Crate Rest Situation

Thank you @KingstonsMom .  Frankie continues to walk around the house trying to figure out where she is.  She bumps into things but not all the time.  She slept well last night but not in her bed.  She fell asleep in her bed, and I had to wake her up to take her 11:00 p.m. pill.  Then she paced around for a while and finally went to sleep on the rug in the bathroom.

I did try to put her back in her bed, but she got right out of it.  It's very sad to me to watch her.  It's going to take time for her to adjust to this new life.

Dear @NickNack

If it hurts this much for us to read, I can only imagine what you are going through.

Frankie is one of us, and I look forward to Monday with hope.
