Re: Problems with Refunds for QVC Returns

I am so disappointed in QVC and their (so called) customer service.   I have been trying to get my refund back for months.....I have been given the run around by a dozen different people.....first saying it was PayPals problem, that got proven otherwise, now they say it is my banks problem.....proven otherwise.....my bank clearly shows where half of my $181.53 refund was rec'd......but, not the other half.   QVC says they refunded it......but, not to me.....and they just won't talk about it anymore.    I am out $96.99....my bank says I never rec'd it.   What more do they want.....I have been with them since they started and have purchased thousands from them......they are willing to throw away a great customer for $96.99.......SHAME ON QVC.   No more good customer service there......BEWARE

Re: Problems with Refunds for QVC Returns

@Nightowlz Sadly, what you describe is happening all over, to all of us. To me, it is a clear sign of the devolution of our educational system. It is at a point where it is impacting our systems of operations to the point of breaking down. Notice that more and more companies are outsourcing their call centers to Mexico, Phillippines, etc. Its not so much that its cheaper, it is about the fact that our work force does not have the basic skills to function in a job. Between lack of motivation, lack of pride in work, lack of basic skills and lack of reliability, we have a work force that will hinder the growth of our country.

@furbabylover

I could not have said it better. Unbelievable & Ridiculous.

Cashiers cannot count change back. If they enter the amount you give them before you hand them the change they can't figure it out. They think it's funny. Nothing funny about it.

Re: Problems with Refunds for QVC Returns

@Nightowlz I don't think most people realize how seriously in trouble we are. I have spent time in Beijing and Taipei, not to mention various European countries, and the level of education there makes us look pathetic. Children in Asia typically go to school early in the morning, stay late, then go to "study halls" that are on every block in major cities. Our educators look pathetic comparatively. Our children are so poor in math that we rate LOWER than 23 other industrialized countries!

@Nightowlz @furbabylover  Can I ask if this includes your children or grandchildren whichever you may have that are in the these ages?

Re: Problems with Refunds for QVC Returns

@proudlyfromNJ My grandchildren were home schooled from birth through high school, then went on to private colleges. Their scope of knowledge puts them outside the regular crowd as far as interests. My granddaughter teaches 1rst grade and tries to instill a curiosity for learning. Her goal is to join a missionary group for work in Haiti. My grandson is an Army Ranger, whose idea of fun is to discuss the Greek Classics. He also plans to be an educator, albeit in the military sciences. He has a particular interest in strategies for peace. My daughter, who taught them, is a brilliant educator who decided to postpone her career to home school my grandchildren.

@furbabylover  You sound like you have an exceptional  and highly intelligent family. It must be make you feel so good. Now I understand how you see us normal people the way you do. I always thought my niece and nephews did a good job in school as they all have jobs and are able to live a nice life although they all did go to college. Congratulations to your daughter for educating her children so well.

Re: Problems with Refunds for QVC Returns

@proudlyfromNJ Thank you on behalf of my daughter. Its funny that you refer to yourself as "us normal people". Our family has always considered themselves to be "us normal people". The values in our family are a strong work ethic and a call to service. We are farmers, ranchers, soldiers, service people, truck drivers and nurses. We cherish the values of this country and hope to contribute to the effort to honor those values.
