Re: Dear Linea Ladies I need prayers

Beryl,

I just checked on a very dear friend who lives with her husband in a retirement community near Wilmington, N.C.  She said that last night there was an announcement for them to evacuate.

Fortunately, she has family in Raleigh, and they are coming to transport her and her husband to Raleigh for the duration of this storm.  I know that Raleigh is a target area, too, but at least it won't have the storm surges.

Please protect yourself.

Of course, praying for all in the path of this terrible storm.  Praying there will be no loss of life, and that damage will be less than predicted.  I hope all will heed evacuation warnings and that help will come to assist everyone in getting back to a normal life. We had a taste of a nasty storm in CT a few years back, and I will never forget the fear.  May God be with you all.

@Berlybaby Prayers for you and all in the path of Florence.  We live on the Chesapeake Bay in southern VA in the lowest flood zone (our home is 25 feet from the water and 8 feet above sea level).  The governor ordered evacuations of our county starting at 8 AM today.  Right now the storm surge is not predicted to occur farther north of the VA/NC line.  We are being cautious, planning for the worst and hoping for the best.  BE SAFE @Berlybaby!!!!

@@Berlybaby  You are in my prayers, along with everyone in the path of this dangerous storm!  As a Gulf Coast native, I've been through my share of hurricanes and sympathize with your situation.  I'm surprised that you haven't been advised to evacuate, given that you're right on the coast.  I'm sure you know to have a good supply of any meds you might need, along with any other necessities, because this is expected to be a multi-day event.  Please stay safe and let us know that you're ok afterwards.

@Berlybaby  Sending prayers your way to keep you safe from harm. I'm surprised you do not have evacuation orders where you are, but that may be a good sign, perhaps? Keep checking the news and be prepared to leave, if you get the word to go inland. Better safe than sorry. Take good care of yourself and fingers crossed the storm weakens.
