anyone else have one of these. I had wanted to buy the KA sheet cutter when it was shown awhile ago ,but I just felt it might be another gadget I wouldn't use much . The price was pretty high.
I kept seeing the Vasta at WalMart and telling myself "step away from the gadget "... as many addicts do I relapsed during my last trip . $19 ??
There is a learning curve and of course I nicked my finger a bit. My tool guy helped me with instructions . This a.m. I used it successfully. I 'shaved' a small apple to add to my puff pastry apple tart leftover .
Right now I think i am glad I purchased it. It is sold on HSN and I watched the demo --but glad I saved postage.
I would never suggest ' the kids will have fun'--as it's advertising does
It could be dangerous. But I am having fun.

I had to look it up to see what you're talking about. Watched a demonstration. That's definitely not a tool that I need, thank goodness. I don't need another useless gadget.

ty , I guess I will not be sending you one for Christmas.
I am finding it useful and curious if there was anyone else using one or the more expensive KA attachment .

I'm looking for an inexpensive way to make zucchini noodles. Does the vasta do this and are they good?

@ValuSkr I haven't tried the noodle blade yet . From the picture it seems to make a flatter noodle than spiralizing does. I have used spiralizing a lot , but think I may like a noodle form more. I have seen many spiralizers advertised in all price ranges . Just google or check out Amazon. I have the attachment (spiralizing) for KA but do not use it as much as a Dash hand used model purchased from HSN a few years ago. I don't think they sell it anymore.
This Vasta does good for 'sheet cutting ' even a small apple. To me one cut like this is better tasting than just a cut one. go figure ?
The instructions on this says it will not 'sheet' a sweet potato -- and it is correct
It does do a potato quite nicely though.

You probably don't really need it but today Amazon has it for $12.87 for Prime day.

@okaywitheasypay Thank you for the info. I didn't know a spiralizer could make noodles. I'll do a little research!
