Don't send it back yet. I have that model. A regular kcup only goes up to 10oz. You have to brew 8, then 4oz more to get 12. It isn't that much trouble. If you use the My Kcup, it will brew 12-14 oz. they didn't present it as only going to 10 oz. Hope this helps.

Tribefan, I'm using the pods that came with the machine. I kinda don't want to buy other kinds now while I'm undecided about keeping this. but thanx for the suggestion Smiley Happy

dianerg, thanx for your reply! like I told another poster earlier, I don't want to buy anything additional yet until I've decided to keep the machine. 

my body is so used to a 16 oz cup of coffee like up to 3 times a day that even if I finally could get my keurig to crank out 14, it would still come up short.
