Remember "Jello 1-2-3"? It layered itself when you made it- As I recall, there is a "homemade" version of this that has either dream whip or cool whip in it- does anyone have this recipe? I think you do it in a blender...

I sure do remember it. I googled it, and this is what I found:

http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/jell-o-1-2-3-dessert-91448.aspx

WHAT YOU NEED

3/4
cup boiling water
1
pkg. (0.3 oz.) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Sugar Free Gelatin, or any flavor
Ice cubes
1/2
cup cold water
1/2
cup thawed COOL WHIP LITE Whipped Topping

MAKE IT

ADD boiling water to gelatin mix iin medium bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Pour into blender. Add enough ice to cold water to measure 1-1/4 cups; add to blender. Blend 30 sec. or until smooth.

ADD COOL WHIP; blend well.

POUR into 4 dessert dishes. Refrigerate 20 min. or until firm.

KRAFT KITCHEN TIPS
Fun Idea
Top each serving with 1/4 cup cut-up fruit to match your JELL-O flavor. For instance, serve sliced fresh strawberries with strawberry JELL-O.

Re: Whipped Jello by Laura Withers

Way back when, if we had a little vanilla ice cream in the freezer, my mom would make Jello and whip the semi-firm Jello with the softened ice cream and then re-chill to get it to firm up the rest of the way. It was a cheap dessert, but we liked it.

Back when she was posting, LilBit had a recipe for Jello 1-2-3. I tried and, and it worked but I wish they still made the original version in a box.

Laura also said you could use Instant Pudding for a frosting. Does anyone know the recipe for that?

Laura said on air yesterday to add 1 Tablespoon of vanilla pudding to every pint of heavy cream when you make whipped cream and it will hold its shape without changing the flavor. There was a cake on the set with this on top and it looked great hours later even under the hot lights they have on set for the Q.
