Re: Whats cooking this august?

Aside from the bacon and eggs I made for DH this morning, there won't be any cooking for me the next several days.  We have a concert tonight and will be eating out beforehand.  Tomorrow we’re going out for town and will be eating out at a favorite place tomorrow and Saturday.  Yep, the same place both days since we don't know if we'll ever get there again.  Saturday night it’s another SG concert for us. Sunday, on our way home, we’ll stop to visit my sister at her assisted living facility and take her to lunch.  I might be fasting Monday after all of that!

I am going to cook a flank steak  using the sous vide on my Instant Pot today for dinner-----have done a couple things that way--salmon and sirloin steak--both turned out amazing. This will take 3 hours and then will grill it on my Ninja grill to make it look pretty!!

Just got thru grilling my sous vide flank steak --took over 3 hours in the p/c and is the perfect medium-----also grilled up some hatch chilis  and got fresh corn for dinner tonight. \Took a little nibble  of steak and wow--so tender and very flavorful too.

@JeanLouiseFinch :  My DFIL loved Southern Gospel music which was very unfamiliar to me.  I grew up with traditional "church" music and over time grew to love it.  On you-tube they have lots of these artists, and I am enjoying being thrown back to memories of days gone by.  Enjoy!!

That's great to hear (read), @Hoovermom!  Attending concerts is a big part of our life now.  It's a worship experience, IMO.  We don't have a second home or take extravagant vacations, but we go to lots of concerts.  We've gotten to know and become friends with many of the artists.  I still love and appreciate the old hymns too.  I'm not always too keen on the modern 7-11 songs (7 words repeated 11 times), but some are OK. And yes. I watch the videos too.  😉
