Good evening everyone. I'm early this month. Sunny and it was in the 30s. I had a multiple sclerosis specialist this morning and after that Ria took off the rest of the day off. I asked her if she wanted to go out for lunch. She said she would rather go home get comfortable and order food.it was a relaxing rest of the day. I'm sure everyone has Alot going on this month getting ready the Christmas. I had made ricotta cookies and Ria took some to work and everyone loved them. Ria is thinking about adding them to the Christmas cookie trays. Ria will start baking Christmas cookies soon.have a great month of December everyone.

@Pooky1

  I've never had a ricotta cookie, I'm gonna look that up sounds interesting and I'm sure good. I've never met a cookie I didn't like. haha

I'm with Ria, my choice this time of year is to be cozy and eating at home.

Tonight we had salad, beef stew and crusty sour dough bread. yum!

Have a great December!Woman Happy

❄️⛄️ Happy December Foodies! ⛄️ ❄️

Today is baking day and getting our guest room ready for overnight company tomorrow night.

We're eating out both days this weekend and traveling a little next week so I don't want to do any groceryshopping until we get back. That said, there are salad fixins in the fridge, plus SF yogurt that needs to be eaten. So, it's not gourmet but that's ok.

Lunch will be a big chef's salad - haven't decided on the dressing yet. I'll also have a carton of yogurt with KF granola and berries mixed in.

Hi @Candycane10! So nice to see you here and see your cooking plans. It's never too early to start on holiday meals & treats.

It's raining here so my dinner plan is country ribs in the slow cooker. Baked sweet potatoes and peas for sides. Banana bread and grapes for dessert. I seem to always have extra bananas so usually bake up breads & freeze them.

Everyone have a good day.

Re: Whats cooking in december?

I am getting new tires on my car tomorrow so DH and I are dropping my car off at the service center tonight.  Since we will be out and in the city,  we are picking up take out from a restaurant we used frequent often when we lived in the city when we were first married.  They have a separate location just for take out in which you can order dishes from the restaurant or get prepared items they exclusively carry at the take out.  I am ordering tortellini with mortadella in a sun dried tomatoes cream sauce.  I also plan to get some sides that I can have for lunch over the next few days- white bean salad, marniated mushrooms, caesar salad, caprese and maybe some grilled vegetables.

@ninjawife

I love your dinner plans. I would gobble up everything on your list.

The boys and the grandbabies are coming over to watch my Huskies play Oregon Ducks for the championship. Not feeling confident in my Huskies...think Oregon will win this one. I cannot say that outloud tho...

We are going to do make your own pizza for dinner. We start with those little Sabatasso's pizza from Costco and I have a bunch of toppings that can be added. I have an Almond Joy poke cake in the fridge for dessert. Any salty snacks will have to come with the boys, because we are devoid of snack foods right now (on purpose).
