Re: What was your grocery price increase shock from your last trip?

Fresh Salmon this week was $13.99 lb. Talapia was 7.99 lb. I was telling one of my girlfriends about it and she told me I need to start checking out frozen instead of fresh.

Small lemons..1.09 each?
"Personal" watermelons, 6.99 each...they are cantaloupe- sized.

Kellogg's cereals are on sale for $2.99....in boxes half the size.

Jimmy Dean I lb roll sausage...gone from $2.50 to $6.00 for one roll! It may be smaller also...I didn't even pick it up.

I see many people pick up items and then put them back. Prices are appalling; something's gotta give..

Aluminum foil.  That's ok.  I'll even up when we vote!

I used to buy a 2-pack of 18 eggs at Walmart for $3.02. Now it is over $7.00

Bacon. 11.49 for 12 oz.  I’ll pass.  Always got them 2/5 or 2/7 lately.  They said on the news today many households waste 40% of their food.  What?  I know I occassionaly toss or miss something but 40%.   That’s not us.

Progresso Soup, $3.99.  I don't eat a lot of it, but it's good for an easy meal now and then. Maybe sales will return by Fall.  But at this price, it's definitely a pass.
