Re: What's cooking in December?

Busy day here making everything we will eat over the holiday weekend.

Teacher daughter used the last 3 rolls of fresh sausage to make sausage balls; she took half with her when she left to go to her boyfriends for the weekend.

I baked a ham, made potato salad, stuffed peppers, rice, carrot, cucumber, tomato and onion salad, and crescent rolls.   No more cooking will be done here until Monday.

Merry Christmas to all!

Re: What's cooking in December?

Good morning and merry Christmas to all of you . we had Christmas Eve with my wifes family. Her Italian mom made a lot of food. Linguine with squid sauce,  roasted red peppers, fried artichokes, broccoli and cauliflower, broccoli rabe, Italian cold cut and cheese platter, a bunch of frozen eppitizers, bacala salad. Incase any isn't familiar with that its white fish like cod. Fried chicken cutlets, fried chicken, fresh Italian bread, she roasted chesnuts, she made a cheese cake , Ria made a yule log and a bunch of different cookies.and much more that I don't remember. Hope you all have a great rest of the Christmas day.

Re: What's cooking in December?

As planned, today we had a very non-traditional meal of Buffalo Wings, salad, celery sticks with bleu cheese dressing, and keto peanut butter pie.  We enjoyed it.

Now I have a little turkey breast roast thawing for tomorrow and will make some creamed mashed cauliflower and green beans to go with it

Eating up leftovers. They are very tasty & will freeze any that are left.

For brunch we had hash browns, omelets with cheese, chopped ham & peppers & onions. Cranberry nut bread, hot cocoa & lots of coffee for me.

Have a peaceful, relaxing day!

Everyone"s food sure sounds good! Making pork chops in the slow cooker with a stick of butter and an envelope of ranch dressing. Will have mashed potatoes and a salad to go with the chops.

This sounds peculiar, but the dog is spending a couple of weeks with us, so I'll be making a beef roast in the crock pot with potatoes & carrots. I try to give some good stuff in with his crunchies (dog food). He looks forward to his lunches when he's here.

Baked chicken with rice and again, carrots. (He likes the carrots.)

The Sweedish meatballs sounds great! That's also on the menu -- my own meatballs. So good in the Sunday sauce.

I had a simple fried egg & rye bread toast tonight. Of course, I set the fire alarm off! It was a simple fried egg!

I ate alone today so I made bacon, eggs, roasted brussel sprouts, and half an avocado for lunch.  Later on, I had a cup of Two Good Yogurt and Keto Nut Granola.

Hubby is doing his colonoscopy prep (TMI) Smiley Surprised.  I'm sure he'll love pizza and a salad for dinner tomorrow night! Woman Wink
