I remember a few years back when our local Brookshire's starting selling them in the store, it was so convenient.  Always only on the side of the road stands or at our Farmers Market.  

The link below is all I could find with info. about restocking their store shelves and for on-line.  Just never have thought about buying it that way.

 One boy I went all through school with opened an ice cream store and created a Noonday Onion flavor.  His store did not survive after a few years and I never tried that particular flavor.  Just something wrong with that concept.

It doesn't matter to me, I use all kinds.

 

I don't like cooked red onions though because they turn a funky color.

Locally grown onions. I haven't bought my produce from a grocery store in years. Even in the winter months I can buy produce from my local indoor farm market. Yum!!
