I live in Vidalia onion country, but personally do not like them, nor do I buy them. I do NOT eat raw onions, and personally prefer to cook with Spanish onions, or for some things, red onions...What do you prefer??

Vidalia. What don't you like about them?

I like both vadalia and spanish. I don't like red. I prefer them cooked on top of my pizza. While I like onions, I eat them sparingly because they bother my stomach.

First, Vidalia.
Second, red onions.
I'm eating some roasted yellow onions right now (leftovers from last night.)
I absolutely cannot eat a hamburger w/o a slice of raw onion.
I like my food rather highly flavored, and onion is on my list of favorite flavors.

Vidalia for me. When they’re not available, any sweet onion.

@forrestwolf I thought you lived in ATL metro area? Do you live near Vidalia or there abouts? Or do you mean that you are in Georgia, so the state is Vidalia onion country? I live about an hour south of Vidalia.

I never met an onion I didn’t like! Vidalias and OSO sweets are my favorites. I also buy yellow onions. I rarely buy red onions unless I’m making something where I want color, as they are the lowest of my favorites. We eat onions every day, and have had as many as 100 lbs of them stored in the garage.

I LOVE onions and Vidalias are my favorite. As I have gotten older I have to be careful to eat them sparingly as they bother my stomach. They seem to agree with me more if they are cooked and not raw.

No onion is a good onion...
I will very occasionally eat small slivers of mild red onion in a salad when eating out and I can occasionally endure onions cooked to the point of being very soft, say in a pot roast or some casserole. I can even enjoy a good bowl of French onion soup on rare occasion, but overall, I don't like them and won't eat them.
