What Cooking Oils Do You Keep In Your Pantry?

I am getting my grocery list together and thinking about what oils we keep on hand.  I use mostly Organic Cold Pressed Oilve Oil (we don't use tons of oil), husband likes Canola Oil for some reason, and we also sometimes have grapeseed oil.

What do you use and brands?  I sometimes buy California Ranch olive oil, sometimes 365 or another organic brand I can't think of the name, and La Tourangelle (in the can) Woman Embarassed

I am not a fan of coconut oil.

Anyway, I thought I'd find out what my friends here use!  I am trying to be more careful with things like that this year.  And not buy ones when I have them (more organized!).

I always have an extra virgin olive, an extra light olive for sauteing, and sesame to add a bit of different taste.

I don't really cook so the best I can do is a can of Pam.

Napa Valley Naturals is the other brand of olive oil I have used a lot!  I finally remembered. I have used their vinegars too.

And we used to use Colavita olive oil a lot too.

The only oils that we use are Coconut oil & olive oil.  I buy my olive oil from a local shop that sells imported olive oil & vinegar out of big barrels.  The shop owners buy directly from small farms in Europe, South America & Australia.

The olive oil is expensive but delicious and well worth it!

I use almost no oil, just a tablespoon now and then for browning meat.  I used to keep olive oil on hand but it doesn't keep well and would spoil while the bottle was practically full.  So now I just keep a small bottle of Canola oil which lasts a lot longer.

I think I've never fried anything in my adult life.  Hate greasy food.

I do not care for the taste of olive oil.  Maybe there is an olive oil out there that I would like but just haven't come across it yet. I prefer canola and vegetable oil, rather tasteless but that's what I usually have around.  I do like sesame oil. I made a mistake on the last sesame oil that I bought because I went cheap. It is worth buying the good stuff.  Mostly I am a Pam user, butter flavored.

@Kachina624 I am with you!  So many casseroles I see are greasy.  My mom never fried anything--she baked and steamed stuff back in the 60's.  We threw out bacon grease!  LOL!!

Now we do use quite a bit of olive oil because we eat a lot of grain and brown rice salads, roast veggies a lot, and make lots of stir frys that do use oil.  My husband likes canola oil for making cornbread and things like that, but I think we can omit the canola oil now.

Basil EVOO & herb de provence from Seasons Taproom for salads; avacado oil, vegetable oil for baking (muffins), and plain old EVOO (Colavita). Peanut or the avacado when I do stir fry.

I have to replace the vegetable oil every now & then; I wish it would come in smaller sizes.

@Sooner   My mom never fried anything either.

You'd better think twice before messing with hubby's Canola oil.  Did you know the San Luis Valley in SW Colorado is a huge producer of Canola?  I was born there many years ago.
