I mostly use olive oil & butter, but I have a container of avocado oil in the pantry that I haven't opened yet.  I also keep a jar of duck fat in the fridge for frying potatoes, yum!

@Carmie

WOW that can of Gem olive oil brought good memories of my mother and aunts, grandmother frying Sunday meatballs and sausage ... then putting them in the Sunday gravy (sauce) which simmered for hours -- I can smell the goodness even now😋😋

I didn't know they still made that brand.  Thank you for memory🙂🙂🙂

(Where do you buy GEM?  I hate the Bertolli and others just don't like the taste & go rancid fast, IMO)

Thank you!

EVOO for Italian and Greek food, also salad dressings.  Canola oil and butter for everything else.

I am getting my grocery list together and thinking about what oils we keep on hand.  I use mostly Organic Cold Pressed Oilve Oil (we don't use tons of oil), husband likes Canola Oil for some reason, and we also sometimes have grapeseed oil.

What do you use and brands?  I sometimes buy California Ranch olive oil, sometimes 365 or another organic brand I can't think of the name, and La Tourangelle (in the can) Woman Embarassed

I am not a fan of coconut oil.

Anyway, I thought I'd find out what my friends here use!  I am trying to be more careful with things like that this year.  And not buy ones when I have them (more organized!).

I use peanut oil a lot, I like the taste.

As long as it's organic, I'm good with most brands.

I have EVOO, regular olive oil, and canola oil in my pantry at all times.

Re: What Cooking Oils Do You Keep In Your Pantry?

I can't tolerate oils much at all anymore so mostly the oils used are for husband and when my sons come for dinner. As an aside, I really miss butter. sigh.

Organic Olive oil we get from Costco is our primary oil.

Canola oil if we are going to oven fry anything because it can take the heat. My DH likes his halibut "oven fried".

Sesame oil for Asian items we have. A little goes a long way and we use it primarily for the taste.

Pam spray Olive oil for a few items we bbq - like salmon/steak/pork chops.

Spray Canola oil we get from Costco - for the high heat of the air fryer- for the times I make french fries to go w/ DH's halibut.

For deep frying we just use store brand vegetable oil.  For cooking we use Spectrum Canola oil,  Avocado oil, Oleoestepa extra virgin oilve oil, and Stony Brook roasted pumpkin seed oil.
