Re: What Brand Mix Master Do You Use?

KitchenAid all the way.  I have a bowl lift (in black with white cupcake decals to give me inspiration), red handheld, large and small food processors.  They're the best!

Kitchen Aid the lift kind. I love it,except I have always had difficulty securing the bowl. I love the variety of attachments that can be used. (though pricey unless on sale) I purchased a shredder /slicer attachment at Amazon that was not K.A. but is sturdy, works great, and economical.

Attaching the bowl can be tricky until you get the hang of it. The key is to tilt the bowl towards you and line up the two pins with the holes on the bowl. Once they're lined up and in place just push down on the back of the bowl and it should just snap right into place. It becomes very easy once you get the hang of it. Too many people try to do too much and get the bowl in place in one move and that just doesn't work. It's a two-step process. Tilt the bowl towards you and get the pins lined up on the holes, then push down note back of the bowl and it'll snap right into place.

@gardenman that is a great description of how to . I finally got the hang of it. But it does seem to take more and more strength to do it as I age. I just usually ask DH to put it in place.

That model can not be beat for large batches.
