do you use coffee mugs as decor?

I LOVE mugs. Probably a lil bit addicted, lol. Can't stop buying them. I have a tiny coffee corner on my counter, with cute signs, my coffee maker, a mug tree and whatnot. Sometimes I hang mugs that match. Other times, same mugs in different colors. Recently I did a sports team theme with three mugs that represent my teams. One of my fave looks is putting out three Starbucks mugs from the You Are Here series. or whatever it's called. I have three of them that are from the three states I've lived in. And all of them get used for my morning coffee.

No....I have been decluttering or downsizing for quite a while.  Anything I have to move to dust is donated or passed on.

Your coffee corner sounds interesting and always on topic !

@smoochy - What a great idea to decorate with your mugs, and I can tell it brings you joy!

DH and I don't drink coffee, but we have received quite a few really pretty mugs as gifts throughout the years. Also I have my late brother's collection. He died when he was 28, and I inherited that. He has mugs from cities all over the world. I haven't used them, but I'm not ready to part with them. DS loves coffee (like his grandmother did), so I hope he will take them someday when he can.  Smiley Happy

oops I should've clarified. Whenever I buy new mugs, I donate several from my cupboard to a thrift store. So I'm not hoarding

how sad about your brother. I'm so sorry. Oh you def need to keep his collection in the family. Those mugs have precious value.

No. I keep trying to organize a coffee brewing station but it keeps getting dis-organized somehow. 🙄

I have maybe a dozen everyday cups/mugs and another dozen+ good china and holiday cups & mugs.

Re: do you use coffee mugs as decor?

I have a nespresso so I need smaller cups, I have a hard time finding any the right size.  I was in Macys yesterday and in their "last act" section I found the perfect small espresso cups, they didn't have a price and when I took them up to the counter they were on sale for 22 dollars each...nope!

I do have a few cute mugs for hot chocolare, I have one that a friend had made when my daughter was expecting twins and that has sentimental value.
